Bought this to really go with in my emergency preparedness kit and to go camping. I have a lot of freeze dried food just in case and was looking for an easy quick way to heat up my food out on the trail or in when other options are not available. Since there is no fire, this is probably the safest option available in high wind or rain situations. I'm probably going to take this to work a bunch as well and enjoy hot meals instead of cold sandwiches. After using up the 3 included Lava Gel packets I'. Ordering a bunch more to stock up as well as 3 more ovens so the whole family has one in case of emergency. It's super lightweight and doubles as Tupperware if you have food you need to save for later in the cooler. Excellent product 👌!

The lava gel works exactly as advertised.Heats food quickly and consistently.However it should come with a neoprene sleve to set in as eating out of the container without burning oneself is difficult.

This kit is awesome I love the lava oven it works great and you know you always have a discreet way to make a warm meal anywhere and without having to cook on a stove or fire and it heats up in just a few minutes this is a must have if your on the go and doesnt have to just be used for campers or hikers

Got the oven the other day. Everything as described. I bought it to use on my boat while fishing. I used it for the first time yesterday. I packed some breakfast egg bake. I used the oven to reheat it and it worked great. Instructions are clear and all parts including the water are included so you don't have to measure anything. I only bought the oven which comes with a few charges. The Oven is useable and seems like it will last a long time. I will have to order more charges soon. Great product. I recommend it.

Does not work if it’s not completely closed. I wouldn’t use this to cook food, but I would use to keep it to reward the food or to just keep the food warm. Also can be used for two bowls. I would recommend for the quality and price.

I bought this for my wife who is a night shift RN. We have been trying to eat healthier and I thought this might help. It came with 3 sets of heating elements and clear instructions. I liked that it also included a drawstring carry pouch for storage. She said it heated up her food in less than 5 minutes and it tasted way better than having to use their gross ass hospital microwave. I'll be purchasing a second oven very soon.

I've that this food heater is zero power. No plug or battery. It works on a mineral reaction between 2 pouches that you combine in the oven. It's not complicated. The kit has a plastic box with a snap on lid. The lid has no seal and vent holes, so no storing anything open in it. This does not get hot enough to cook. It can only reheat. The food tray is metal. This will only hold enough for 1 serving at a time.It comes with 3 heat packs. I tried to find replacements to buy, on Amazon and their website. There are none. So I would have to buy a whole new kit with oven. That's not very sustainable or cost effective. Each meal heated would essentially cost about $10. I would love to see replacements available for these and I would absolutely buy them.

Opened up product and lost 2 activation water packets and one heat pad has already been activated. Another heat pad ruin. Ruins the tray already. Tried to clean it but did not help. Not recommended.
