Laguna Max Flo 5000 Pond Pump

I did not dislike anything as it was a replacement for the one I previously had. This was easily fitted and not hard for an elderly lady to carry out.

This was a replacement for the same pump which finally died after about 8 years constant running.Would highly recommend for quality and ease of set up

Although I can't fault the retailer or Amazon, the pump housing inside its cage was broken when I received it. I didn't open the housing to check, but when I used the pump, it was rattling a bit. So I opened it and wedged some plastic to hold the pump. I reckoned the retailer wouldn't take it back as I had used it.Apart from that, the pump is good. I only replaced my previous one because after 10 years of usage, it started tripping the RCD which is probably due to insulation breakdown in the power cable.

This is the 2nd pump of this type I have used in my pond. The original one lasted over 12 years. I recently replaced it with the nearest model which has a slightly higher flow rate although its almost identical to the original. All I can add is that it's obviously a well made reliable pump. Amazon was the best price I could find. The pump comes with a 3 year guarantee and if you register the product it increases to 5 years. I did do a slight modification by adding a cable tie loop through the top of the casing so it can be easily hooked and lifted out of the pond for maintenance . Also cable tied a couple of small tubes to the casing underside so it sits on the pond floor above any silt.

Good length of cable and "click" fitting made connection easy. Compact and cleaning would seem easy.

This pump is great quality and fantastic value for money. Wouldn't hesitate about buying another one!

So far happy with it working well .not sure about the power cos I have not get a bill yet.
