This incense stick holder has been carved by hand from pine in central Scotland to a design I have developed for my own use. I find that many incense stick holders have ash catching channels that are shallow and narrow. My holders have a wider groove, meaning less precision lining up of the stick and a deeper groove to allow less trips to the bin, and greater surety that the ash will stay in the groove. This range of incense burners have been finished using my take on a traditional Japanese technique normally used for building cladding but I think it looks really cool applied to some household items and I especially love it for incense holders because it's brilliant to burn something in something burnt. They measure approximately 25.5cm (10") long and 3.2cm (1 1/4") wide. Please note that since the incense holders are made from wood there may be a variation in grain pattern from that shown.
