I needed an under the mattress motion alarm instead of one that goes on the top of the mattress because of my husband’s bed wetting, frequent leg movements and sitting up in bed. This works great. Had to reposition it a few times to find the best spot. At first it was alarming when he turned over on his side, etc. I like the 2 volume levels and the vibration setting. It was quite expensive, but is good quality and I expect it to last a long time.

My 92 year old mother-in-law lives with us, and we have a baby monitor to keep an eye on her. However, she started getting out of bed in the attempt to change her adult diapers, which she is not able to do. We caught her just in time before she fell and felt we needed something more in order to give us more warning. We decided to give the Lunderg Under Mattress Bed Alarm a try and it works great for our needs. As soon as my mother-in-law moves to the edge of the bed, the alarm goes off and my wife is able to quickly get to her room before she tries to get out of bed. It took two times to adjust it, but once we had it right, it has worked flawlessly for us.

I love this product. My almost 93 year old mother lives with me. For the past 2.5 years I have slept with one ear turned to her bedroom which is close to mine. No matter how closely I have watched her, she always managed to be up when I finally went to sleep. THIS bed monitor has been a game changer! When she gets up a remote alarm, that I have alerts me. I can adjust the loudness. I no longer have to be worried that I won't hear her. This product is easy to set up, is sleek in design, and has helped me immensely!!

I’m the caretaker for both of my elderly parents. My mother will not use a walker & gets up all of the time during the night. She has fallen a lot even though I have a baby monitor & video cameras to alert me sometimes I’m so exhausted from mostly not sleeping during the night to listen for her getting up that I fall asleep for a while & that’s when she gets up & falls. I don’t have anyone to help me with caretaking & I’ve been at my wits end trying to find a device that would work for my situation. My mother moves around on the bed too much & a top of the bed monitor wouldn’t last through her tossing and turning. We have pets that would trigger the alarm for under the bed alert systems.This one worked perfectly & it was very easy to set up. Their bedroom is on the other side of a rather large house. I wasn’t sure how far I could be from the bed alarm but found that it works perfectly even way on the other side of the house! All in all she got up 7 times during the night & I was early alerted every single time before she even got up. This device is worth every penny! I will be buying one for my dad’s side even though he doesn’t really need monitoring.Thank you Lunderg for inventing this! I can sleep better now knowing that I won’t have to worry about being asleep when my mom gets up out of bed.

I bought this for my wife who has Alzheimer's and has had a hip fracture from a fall while getting out of bed. My greatest fear is she will fall again and shatter the hip. I am paranoid over this! It is hard to watch her 24x7 so I bought this as a helper. I also added side rails to her bed to slow her down when she tries to get out of bed. With the two measures, it does seem to work OK. I have been woken up several times while sleeping to tend to her.Things I like:Early warning system works OK. It can be disabled if desired. As she moves around in bed and towards the edge it does alarm.Loud alarm that can be turned down or just on vibrate, I like the option.LED light is an added feature that is nice for nights when I am sleeping. It is also used as a system/battery check.The pager (receiving unit) easily pairs with the pad and a panic button and a chair pad. I like the multiuse capabilities of the receiving unit. Very easy to set up.It appears to have good distance capabilities.Things I dislike:LED is super bright. It is like a strobe light in a dark room. It blinks every second or two to show the system is working. I wish it could be dimmed. I had to put a piece of black electrical tape over it to keep it from distracting me while sleeping.The on/off switch is a major inconvenience. It is impossible to get to when the unit is under a mattress. It is small and fragile, not designed to be turned on/off frequently. I would like to see some kind of remote power switch that could be run via a wire to a bedside table. I don't feel good leaving it powered on when she is not in bed. See the next dislike below.The battery in the pad cannot be changed. Why? It appears that this is a limited use pad. The instructions say 24 months for the bed pad and 12-15 months for the chair pad. It says the pad must be replaced after that time period. There must be an underlying design reason why, but I don't like the idea of leaving the pad turned on 24x7. A simple remotely wired on/off switch would take care of this. Maybe the batteries will last the entire 12-24 month period, but I don't like not being able to turn it, and the chair pad, off when not in use.Plastic cover over the pad is cheap/thin vinyl. I've already torn the vinyl just opening and closing the pocket that houses the electronics and on off switch.It's a little iffy under thick mattresses. Sometimes it doesn't alarm until she is fully standing. This could probably be resolved by putting it under a mattress pad instead of the thick Tempur-Pedic mattress that she sleeps on. I really need to know before she stands up to prevent her from falling. But overall, it does work OK. I don't have 100% confidence in it yet, but my confidence is growing by the day.I do recommend it. Aside from a full hospital bed with this function built in, there aren't a lot of choices. I would recommend it with the above understandings.

Dad has been safe on the bed with this bed alarm. I can get my sleep and not worry as I did prior to purchasing this product. It’s been a protector. The pre alert has been a savior. I’m glad this alarm was invented. Thank you!

After a month or so of use, we are very happy with the Lundberg under mattress alarm. It is reliable and easy to use. Comforting to know that I will be alerted when my wife gets out of bed. Absolutely no problems with the system. Highly recommend.

My mother has dementia and had gotten out of bed in the middle of night and had a nasty fall. Purchased this bed mat and it works like a charm! Alarm goes off before she gets out of bed waking us up so we can tend to her before she wanders and potentially falls again. Was concerned whether that mat would work under a 10” memory foam mattress but it works every time. Now we can rest better knowing that we will receive an alert!

Any caregiver will tell you that knowing where your loved one or patient is at all times is a good feeling and less stressful. Knowing when they can’t sleep or get out of bed with a wireless alert is a great way to provide the best care possible.This under mattress pad is a great size to cover majority of the bed space needed. It does not have any annoying wires and can securely be placed under a sheet so it’s out of sight, out of mind for the patient or loved one.The monitor is wireless and features some options to make the monitor just right for your needs. Volume adjustment or vibration only if choose. It also features a mounting option if you do not want to take it with you. Just stay within 300 feet. Personally, I recommend staying within 300 feet if possible as signal does weaken if greater than 200 (might be just my location in home).Overall, a useful and practical product and does what it was designed to do and does it well.Recommend.
