I own their lip balms before I realized they had brushes. Ever since trying them I've wanted a brush for their lip balms since they tend to stain your fingers if you go for the tinted ones. I love the retractable mechanism and find it works well. I don't carry either with me so I can't speak on that but the hole looks like it would invite lint and debris if carried in a bag. I do keep a balm at my desk and now this accompanies it. It's not the best at spreading the product evenly but it does allow me to scoop the product from the pot more hygienically. I did notice that my tinted balm also seems to stain the tip of the silicone brush so now I prefer to use it with my clear balm to prevent this. Overall, it works I think I would prefer if they carried a silicone fingertip brush for better spread.

I got this with the AOU lip balm -- the quality of the product itself is great and the retractable mechanism is a cute concept however the silicon tip just doesn't spread the product evenly on my lips so I ended up not using it. Note on cleaning: I also have to clean the silicon tip after every use otherwise it just leaves a stain on the tip and the top of the opening every time.

AOU is an absolutely amazing Korean brand and I own multiple of their lip products that come in small jars. This silicone applicator is the perfect companion to those products so I can easily apply without putting my fingers into the product so I can avoid introducing extra bacteria into the product and keep my fingers clean as well. It’s great for precision application with the thin brush that comes to a rounded point, and the brush is compact enough that it’s perfect for on the go. Plus it comes with a small pouch to store it in so I can keep my purse clean when I put it in there. And then just on a fun level, the mechanism for opening the brush up and closing it is just really smooth and satisfying, but that’s just a little extra thing. Overall, this is definitely worth having ESPECIALLY if you love the AOU glowy and matte lip balms as much as I do!

This is a great product if you have like balms in a pot or if you are the type that don't like to use your wand from gloss/tint on your lips. This has a silicone tip that pops up when you pull the white outer shell upwards. I feel that this is super easy to clean because if you carry around some alcohol wipes or something you can just quickly wipe it off when done and push it back into place. It's a great product for those that are aware of contaminating their makeup products. This silicone tip is similar to other silicone brush tips I've used and is not bad. This is more for liquid/viscous or pot balms and not really for things like lipstick. I do recommend because it is easy to use, easy to clean, and very portable because of its small size.

I ordered this so I can stop using my little pinky on my lips but I am not that satisfied with its effect when used on lipstick, pinky or the brush version is still better for me.
