I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle since I was child, decades ago, and have never had any real interest in them. Recently, when the chance came up for me to review this jigsaw puzzle on the Amazon Vine programme, being taken by the lovely picture, on a complete whim I thought, 'why not?'The jigsaw arrived in perfect condition in its cellophane sealed box. Inside the box, the pieces are in a sealed bag. There is also a catalogue showcasing the other jigsaws the House of Puzzles has available to buy (which are all lovely by the way), and a 'lost piece' form. If one has a lost piece, fill in the form and send it to The House of Puzzles and they will replace it free of charge. As their jigsaws are cut in batches they may not be able to exactly match the piece, but they will do their best. What great service?Obviously I'm no expert, but in my humble opinion the jigsaw is printed on very high quality card and the print itself is fantastic quality. The picture absolutely charming. The box describes the pieces as 'large,' and whilst not huge, they are a good size for my fat fingers to work comfortably with.I started putting it together on my table, but now realise I'll need to invest in a puzzle board, so I'm currently researching them. Why? Well, I've found completing the puzzle extremely enjoyable and very therapeutic. It's a great way to switch off and get away from screens, and as a woman of a certain age, I'm sure it will help keep the mind sharp too.Having enjoyed doing it so much, I've actually gone and got a second puzzle from the House of Puzzles collection. This has definitely by chance sparked a new hobby, and the House of Puzzles collection of jigsaws are so lovely I want to collect them all. Highly recommended!

I was offered this item, free of charge, for an honest review under the 'Vine' Program.I haven't done a Jigsaw for a very long time and recruited my wife to help me with this one (she hasn't done a Jigsaw for years either but, as an artist, she has a better eye). It took us about 4 hours between us to complete this 500 piece picture (and a very nice picture it is too) so we guess that the suggested age rang of 8 years upwards is about right.What we both found different to other puzzles we have done in years gone by was the shapes of the pieces. Some did not have the expected 'tags; and 'notches' but a shape that linked to other pieces. In fact, a few of the pieces we initially mis-identified as edge pieces before recognising that it was not a perfectly straight edge. Those who regularly enjoy Jigsaws may be familiar with this but it was a surprise to us and added to our enjoyment.There were 4 pieces where the backing paper on a 'tab' had peeled back (soon remedied with a glue stick) but otherwise the quality and fit of the pieces was very good. Most importantly, all the pieces were there, it provided good entertainment and the finished article is nice. Would make a very nice present.

Although meant as a child's toy this puzzle is also suitable for older people with some loss of vision or with arthritis. This puzzle arrived well packed in a substantial box, sealed in clear plastic. The puzzle pieces were in a sealed bag within the box; all very secure.. The picture is in clear colours, so suitable for those with some loss of vision. The pieces are cut cleanly, no dust or fibres, and are varied in shape for added interest and are a good size: easy to handle with arthritic fingers.

This lovely HOP puzzle comes in a large cardboard box with a leaflet and the pieces sealed in a plastic bag.The pieces are a nice thick card and nearly double the size of a standard puzzle piece with some random cut pieces in different shapes.I’m an avid puzzler and found this puzzle a real joy to do nice and easy so doesn’t drag on to on long and the bigger sized pieces made it easier to see without having to use reading glasses.Lovely quality thick pieces with a very vibrant image.Would definitely recommend this puzzle for anyone not wanting to much of a challenge or someone with poorer sight or just to enjoy the larger pieces!

The illustration of this puzzle reminds me of early evening walks with our dog in the country and gives me warm and fuzzy feelings. This is a well-made puzzle the pieces all fit together nicely and being larger pieces it is great for either the younger puzzler or someone who is having difficulty with either their sight or dexterity. I do love HOP puzzles as they are always good quality and use some uniquely shaped pieces that are more fun than just the regular square ones normally seen in every other brand. This puzzle also has lots of details to keep you engaged. I highly recommend this for anyone that is either at the beginning of their puzzle journey or someone who does not want to give up puzzling due to eyesight or dexterity issues.My reviews follow this star rating:1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. This is a good quality 500 piece jigsaw.I thought it was quite a complex design for a beginner adult puzzler with good eyesight (me) as there is a lot going on in the design with wildlife, dogs, birds, people, cards, buildings, water, trees, fauna and flora.This would make a really lovely gift for any jigsaw lover in your life and there are so many designs to choose from this seller. This is a beautifully made jigsaw with a stunning design and colours. I love that this provided a real challenge for me - I never realised what an exercise in mindfulness building jigsaws could be. I'm not ashamed to admit that it did take a couple of evenings for me to complete - it was a relaxing distraction from the TV for sure.
