Amazing for single strands… Some difficulties, removing the outer jacket of some Romax wires
Amazing gadget. If you’re into scrapping copper wire it’s a game changer. Absolutely excels at stripping single strands of wire. It does though have some limitations when it comes to removing the outer jacket . If the romax is twisted or bent in any way that needs to be straightened out . Does not have a slot for modern pink 10/3 so that outer jacket will need to be stripped by hand. Also has a difficult time with old school round 10/3 wire which has a spiral nature and gives the device trouble keeping contact with the drive rollers and cutter. No amount of engineering could ever resolve this issue so I give it five stars.

Pretty good
Sat down and used it for about 2-3hrs straight. Works pretty well. It's easier to use on larger conductors, and stranded is easier than solid. Eg, 12 solid gave me some trouble bc of some more serious kinks in the wire that would kick it out from under the cutting wheel.Don't overtighten, especially when stripping stranded, bc it cuts the strands, and they're sharp and go everywhere.Anchored to a workbench or table. 1 hand guiding the conductor, 1 hand on your drill, not too quick, works pretty well.Update: used for a few weeks now. There's play bw the carrier block that holds the cutting wheel, and the sidewalls. Enough play that, when stripping smaller wire, allows the wire to slip to the side bc the wheel doesn't stay centered.I was able to fix this with a small shim I cut from a piece of HDPE plastic, and applied a light layer of grease, placed on 1 side to keep the carrier block from wanting to sway in that direction during use.

Does what it says!
I'll be honest. I was asked to be so. If you only deal with single stranded conductors, this is a wonderful machine. I deal with mostly smaller multiple conductor wires. It will still case split stranded multi conductors but not solid core . It's already paid for itself but because I didnt read correctly, thats all on me. I can't hurt a vendor for my own failings. If I had to offer 1 improvement, it would be do not paint or coat the driving wheels, but texture them. Ive already burned off the paint and it works better now. Either way, a very nice product indeed!

Worth the price
Purchased for my husband. It saved him hours of work. Great quality, cuts smoothly, and worth the purchase.

Best scrapping stripper I've ever used.
The manual definitely says "up to 300 kcmil" however if you remove the bottom plate with a 5/16" hex key, the orange feeder slides right out and it will rip through 600s no problem without marring the strands or making sharp edges. This thing is rock solid. It's also a one man, one hand operation when your wire isn't kinked. Some models will bind on electrical tape, not this one. It chews through the tape and just keeps going. "Designed in sunny Gainesville, FL" is also a nice touch. Even if i break it, I will most certainly buy this one again. It pays for itself.

Stupid Simple Tools Copper stripper.
Great product, wish I’d brought it sooner. Looks nearly to good to use nice anodised finish everything is very thick and well made. Have used on thick core 10mm down to small house hold wire and eats wire as quickly as your drill can spin it, easy to adjust can buy replacement blades couldn’t be happier, and a great price.
