South Yorkshire Railway Stations: Adwick-le-Street to Wortley Paperback – April 15, 2011

As stated in Review title, this is generally a very good book, with one or two exceptions.For example, I think that a map of the area and stations covered at the start of the book would have been most useful.Also some pictures of stations are not on the same pages as the descriptions.Some of the stations covered do not have pictures. I appreciate that possibly there may be no usable pictures of some of the stations closed very early on nor of some of the wooden or 'coach body' type Halts.Finally the nomenclature seems slightly variable - some 'Halts' are Stations and vice versa.But I don't wish to be too picky - all in all an extremely good book.I wish there were similar ones for other areas!

A very informative book with the history of each station, along with many photos.

Bought this as a present for my brother at Christmas. He loves it. Great to look back at the history of all the local railway stations.
