Installed this on my 2004 F150 FX4 Super Crew 5
Installed this on my 2004 F150 FX4 Super Crew 5.5 foot bed. The info about this particular item said it would not fit my truck but it did perfectly. Check out the instructions to make sure it fits yours. I had to cut the mid pipe as per the instructions to fit mine. To remove existing exhaust be sure to remove all bolts from clamps and take out all the hangers. You might also want to cut the original exhaust behind the muffler to make easier removal. Installing the new was really easy except for getting the new pipe onto the existing pipe (the first pipe you install...), it required lots of elbow grease. After that getting everything in and secure was easy, it fit perfectly. As for the exhaust once installed, all I have to say is "wow"! This looks great and sounds awesome. Not too loud but has a great rumble. I think my neighbor liked my truck so he got an Raptor and the exhaust an that thing is mean as hell so I just had to upgrade mine. This is not as mean sounding as the Raptor but just enough for a single pipe. My intent was not to compete with the Raptor but be more respectable, this met the bill. As for improved throttle response, yes, this exhaust made my truck feel as though it was no longer driving under water. As for improved gas mileage, let's be honest, you don't get exhaust like this to improve mileage. If you are like me you are going to be peddle to the metal all the time so you can hear the rumble.Overall great upgrade. Recommend!!!

Nice setup, a bit of a drone.
The media could not be loaded. Ordered this for my 08 F150 FX4 Super Crew. It was a pretty easy installation. Replaces a Flowmaster dual exhaust system that I loved, but didn't want to spend $800 ish to replace it. This system bolted right up after cutting the extension tube per the instructions. Clamps are high quality. Last tailpipe hanger didn't match, but the factory hanger may have been changed for the Flowmasters. Overall, a quality product.Unfortunately for me, the sound is a bit too harsh. It has more bark than I like, but the deal breaker was a pretty annoying drone from 70-78mph (2000-2300RPM). I do alot of highway driving of 5+hrs, so I decided to change the muffler to a Flowmaster Delta 50. (bolted right up)Don't get me wrong, this muffler sounds awesome, just a bit too loud for this old guy.Video is of the MBRP.

Easy to install. Clamps seem decent enough. May end up changing them out in the future. But mine was missing the clamp/hanger combo. So only two of the three hangers are being used. I’m going to make something work, but would have definitely liked to have all the pieces to mount it more securely. I’ve it would have had the clamp/hanger, I would have given it 5 stars.Overall, it seems like a good quality system for the price. It’s pretty much exactly what I was looking for sound wise. Not very loud. But definitely louder than stock. I’d say it has a mild drone at 70+, but i was expecting worse honestly.

Sounds perfect!
I was skeptical about doing a muffler mod by myself, but the directions that come with this kit are extremely detailed. It had all the information I needed to replace the exhaust on my 04 F-150. The hardest part was getting the old one off. Some reviewers say to take the hanger brackets off to remove the exhaust, but I found it easier just to cut the stock pipe just behind the muffler and everything came out quite easy. (I used a reciprocating saw to cut it) I was able to do the entire job in a little over two hours this past weekend. The sound is just what I was looking for. Its not loud at all... just a little grumble. I'm not one that likes waking up the neighbors at 5am when I'm leaving for work. Not sure how it will help fuel economy yet, but I will post about that later once I get a few tanks of gas through it and get a good average.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS need a bit more detail
Easy install. Removal was twice the work 07 F-150 lariat 5'5 bed. I've always said you get what u pay for, but in thie case it's a great deal compared to other manufacturers offering the same thingfor hundreds more. The sound is perfect, along with intake I gained about 25HP. I had a used kit shippqed to me when i orderd a new one, wost part is i had already taken my stock exaust off awaiting delivery. amazon promptly took care of the issue, and then some, the exaust is just what I was missing. I have basidly upgraded every possible thing you can think of, can't believe I didn't do this sooner. When it tells u to cut the Y measure and mock up the kit then measure twice more, getting the hangers lined up is the key. 2.5 hrs start to finish, easy just needs a little muscle.

Overall pretty nice
Pretty nice kit for the price. Everything went together as it should, instructions for trimming the mid pipe depending on cab and bed config was spot on. Good tone.

real nice exhaust. Not too loud but not quiet
Ordered the black, but it came in chrome. Other than that, real nice exhaust. Not too loud but not quiet; just the right amount of rumble. Really easy install as well if you follow the directions
