Although I seem to be one of the few reviewers that actually had to pay for this I can confirm that the reviews are accurate. The build quality and sound quality are great especially the bass. It would have been good if the handle folded but that is not a big issue. It is rare to get a speaker that shuffle plays the sd card files which was the main attaction for me.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a heavy and solid unit which I think would be better marketed as a medium sized portable Bluetooth speaker with a built in FM radio, instead of the other way around. It looks good in all black, has a handy carry handle and an extendable aerial.The sound quality is very impressive. The volume goes up nice and loud, with no noticeable distortion when you hit the maximum. It has three EQ settings - Balanced / Clear Voice / Bass Boost. For most things, I find Balanced sounds best.Five playback modes: FM radio, MicroSD card, USB stick, Bluetooth and 3.5mm axuillery. I’ve tried all options and they work fine (see video). For MicroSD and USB playback, use 32GB or below. I tried a 128GB USB stick but the sound came out garbled. If you want digital radio, you’ll need to connect a smartphone or PC to it via Bluetooth or a 3.5mm cable.It's easy to toggle between the various modes and playback from the Micro SD card and USB picks up from where it left off. There are 10 FM radio presets, sleep timer, and the option to Repeat All, Repear One (sic) or Shuffle tracks when playing back from the USB and MicroSD card. The rotating volume button allows for easy volume adjustment.The Bluetooth connection is rock solid and the battery lasts for hours and hours but you can, of course, leave it permanently plugged into the mains. It arrives with a USB to USB-C charging cable and the instruction manual explains how the array of control buttons work.Overall, I think its an impressive unit and worth the money.

Quality audio

Really enjoy this Bluetooth speaker/radio. The functionality of it is pretty unmatched.You can play music through the radio, via Bluetooth from your phone or PC, via the USB or SD card reader on the device, or via a 3.5mm/AUX cable, so pretty much any way you can imagine with the exception of a CD or Tape Cassette. It handles all of these very well, the radio gets a good reception to the channels I tried, mostly Radio 1 and Capital FM, and the Bluetooth also connected easily and worked well.The speaker quality is excellent, it's capable of getting quite loud and has some equalizer settings to prioritize bass, voice, or in-between, which work quite well. The sound is quite bassy/deep, so I personally keep it on the in-between setting and it works great.I can't make much of a comment on the battery life as the unit came fully charged and I've yet to drain it all the way, but I would say it's probably close to the 20-hour battery life that's stated, depending on how loud you have the speakers.The controls are laid out very simply across the top, and if you've used any sound equipment in the last 30 years, you should pretty much understand everything here. The only thing that takes some understanding, or reading of the manual, is how to set presets for radio stations, but the method used does seem to be a standard that I just wasn't aware of.For the current price of £89.99, I think it's a good deal, and I would recommend it. If you're after a Bluetooth speaker/radio/audio player that can be taken out in the garden with you, for example, then I don't think you'll go far wrong with this one.

I’ve been impressed by Avantree headphones, so was eagerly awaiting this radio.It’s even better than I’d hoped for, with an enormous depth of sound.The set has a lovely chunky feel - it's heavier than the average portable - and it has so many functions.There are nine station-saving buttons; it can be tuned manually or by search; it pairs effortlessly via Bluetooth; can be used as a wired speaker; accepts micro SD cards; and is a USB drive playerThe obvious omission is DAB, but I get round that by listening to stations which aren’t on FM by accessing them on a tablet and then pairing the radio via Bluetooth.Listen to this and you will reallise why some portables are dearer than others.This one's sheer quality.

This is a great compact FM radio, it looks good in my kitchen as well. The FM radio options are quite limited compared to what you can get with a DAB radio but I'll use this more for the Bluetooth function to play music off my phone. It's easy to connect your device via Bluetooth and the sound quality is fantastic. It takes up a very small amount of space, so perfect if you're limited on space. It has a rechargeable battery, so it's easily portable for days out and the battery life is quite good. This would be great for campers.
