Tiller
This compact tiller is fantastic! It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, but don’t let the size fool you—it has plenty of power to break up tough soil and get the garden beds ready in no time. I was amazed at how quickly it loosened hard ground and worked in compost, saving me hours of backbreaking labor with a shovel. The design makes it simple to handle, even in tight spaces or between rows, and storage is a breeze because of its smaller footprint. It starts up reliably and runs smoothly without a lot of noise or vibration. For anyone who wants a dependable, easy-to-use tiller without the bulk of a full-size machine, this is a perfect choice. It’s been a great investment for my garden!

Easy to use and works well
This is a great little cultivator for the price. I previously had a small gas tiller and when we sold our large home with large garden beds, we gave it away. Now, we’re in a townhome and have some smaller dedicated garden beds that we’re planting. I used this to till in some bags of compost and turn up the soil. There’s good loam and this tiller easily dug down more than 6” deep. If you hit and grab a stone the tiller will stop and chatter. You’ll need to pull out the stone but it’s pretty easy to clear. All-in-all I’m very pleased with the purchase and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Perfect garden tool
This thing is perfect for a home gardener. It's easy to manage and has plenty of power. It makes planting things so much easier. Cultivating the soil makes it so much more fertile for planting. Another thing I use it for is planting small trees. My wife had about a 25 gallon cherry tree. I used the cultivator to break up the ground where I was planting it. I would break up the ground, remove the soil, then break it up some more, and remove that until I was at the depth I needed. It was much easier to dig the hole with the soil all loose. I love this thing and use it every year.

Great for light work. Not so great for big roots or rocky soil.
Pro's: - Lightweight - Easy to maneuver - Great for small garden jobs Con's: - Gets jammed on even light roots - Not for big jobs If you have a small garden patch to till up that does not have many rocks or roots, this would do the job just fine. I like how light it is, and it is very easy to maneuver. I used this to till up my lawn to make some new garden beds. It was perfect for this small job. However, if you have a large area to till that also has some rocks or heavy roots, you are going to want something a bit bigger than this. This tiller got hung up several times on very light roots. It just lacks the power to cut through very thick materials. Overall, I would recommend this for light gardening work since it is very easy to maneuver. It's perfect for small spaces. If you just have a few raised beds to work, this will suit you just fine. There's no need to buy a more expensive tiller, if you are only doing light work in a small space. If you need something to cut through thicker roots and turn up rocks though, then I recommend you look elsewhere. ***If you found my review helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the helpful button below! Where has this been all my life!
This small electric tiller is perfect for my 26 X 8 ft no rocks sandy soil garden. I had trouble putting the handle into the bottom-the plastic cover plate would not line up with the 2 screw holes. Oh no. So I started checking the Amazon reviews to see if others had this problem and how they solved it. Oh no. Had to start scrolling through many reviews to find ones for this model and many had same problem I did and their solutions were not satisfactory to me. I wanted this thing to work, I didn't want to send it back or file it down or tap with hammer. Reviews said customer service was no good. I googled it and found it is made by American Lawn Mower Company. I went to their site and called customer service got an immediate very friendly response and the solution to the problem which I wrote this review to help others considering buying this wonderful tiller. Pushing the handle into the motor part engages the 2 prong electrical contacts. I didn't have it pushed in far enough which is why the holes wouldn't line up for the plastic cover piece to snap in. The company rep guy said to turn it upside down and push hard. This is awkward because of the tines but I managed and it worked and the cover snapped right in. YAY!!! I tried it out today. It works GREAT. I have some mint, thick clover like weeds and snow in summer ground cover, all these clogged up the tines quickly. So I'm going to have to dig these out manually, but once I get these out I'm fat city ha ha meaning I'll never have to weed my garden manually again because with this tiller I'll easily be able to keep up with it. Electric version works for my needs also. It handled like a weed eater not awkward at all. The tiller mixed in compost like a dream. I'm a 67 year old female who was ready to give up my garden because weeding and shoveling my back is done with. So I am so happy. I would like to repeat I have sandy no rock soil-the easiest type of soil, I don't know how this performs with hard soil.

Good price and sturdy tool.
Electric cultivator. I used the cultivator for weeds in my small 8' x 18' garden which was already established. It worked well and saved me from doing a lot of manual work with a hoe. I still had to do some hand work close to the plants, but it made the bulk of the weeding job easier. I would recommend .

good light duty tiller
Very easy to assemble and appears to be solidly constructed. Perfect for/ tilling/weeding in established flower beds as it is narrow and, light weight and easy to manouver around plantings..For heavy tillng of new beds you need a wider unit with large tines to get down deeper and at least a 12 +amp motor .I use my Mantis tiller along with the Earthwise and for me it's a perfect combo.. If you map out your bed design in advanc e you wil only need the heavy duty tiller once or twice The earthwise will be your constant companion. Great kit !

I feel like I've been scammed
It was not mentioned in the product details that it works on 110 volt electricity, and I bought it on the basis that it was 220 volts, like most modern devices, and also not 50/60 h, but only 60 h, which makes it impossible for me to use it at all.

Nice small cultivator
Ordered it a little late in the season but still got use for it . Narrow enough for weeding between rows. A little strong for me, but I am in my late 70’s. But with a little practise I got the hang of it. Iwas not use to the electric cord, as my old one was battery operated, but i just pretended it was my upright vac and it worked fine. Looking forward to fall clean up.
