I kept this up on my counter and it added to my kitchen aesthetic! However, it only lasted us about two months before the glass beaker broke. Sad about that. I would just be really careful.

I make expresó and then add water for Americano. It makes two cups that easy. At first I thought it would be too small, but it just right for the two of us.

This has to be one of my favorite finds on Amazon! Perfect for one person for coffee or tea! Comes packaged nicely in a box and perfect for a gift! I plan to order more for holiday gifts. It’s so nice and an amazing price! Cant wait to make my morning coffee!

Update:I didn't realize it at first but the beaker had a hairline crack that expanded. Luckily I noticed in time and I was able to get a replacement from Amazon. I do wish that the glass was a bit thicker for this product. I still wanted a different handle material, so I wound up ordering a "Bodum Chambord Coffee Maker 3 Cup 0.35 Liter 12 Ounce Shiny" french press used from Amazon Warehouse for $15 in "like new condition." It was a bit of a tight fit but the glass beaker did fit into the Bodum stainless steel stand. I am currently using this brand's glass beaker and bamboo lid with the Bodum stainless steel holder that has a plastic handle. I really do like this french press overall and I would give it 5 stars if the handle was a more durable material such as stainless steel, plastic, or silicone.Original Review:I ordered this 12 oz French press and Ascot glass electric kettle based on Tamara Rubin’s advice for nontoxic and lead free kitchen items. It is beautiful but I wish the handle was either stainless steel or even plastic so that it could go through the dishwasher and there would be less worry of deterioration. I have hand washed it a few times and you can the see the bamboo is already drying out a bit on the handle. I am not having this problem with the bamboo top. I know that I could oil it but ideally I would like something that I could just rinse and pop into the dishwasher. I went so far as to order the same brand’s 12 oz version with a black plastic handle and lid to use for parts. I was hoping to swap out just the handle portion so that I would have the black handle with the original glass beaker without writing with the bamboo lid (I do not want the plastic lid touching the hot coffee). However, the glass beaker for the 12 oz glass/plastic combo is narrower. The bamboo lid is unable to press down as shown in the picture. It’s definitely a bummer. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do. I could possibly remove the beaker from the bamboo handle before washing it but I like to wash it right away and it’s very hot. I am debating if I should just switch over to another brand that is all glass and stainless steel. I saw a 34 oz one at IKEA that was reasonably priced.

I wanted a French press for one or two servings. This is a perfect size. It looks so cute displayed on a tray with coffee accessories or as part of decor on a stand in my kitchen . It makes wonderful cold brew and no coffee grinds ever escape into my cup. From hot to cold it is very durable and super easy to clean.My one con would be that I wish the lid was 1/4” deeper in order to fully cover the pour spout. I have to cover spout with plastic wrap when keeping in fridge for my cold brews as it sits for several hours. I still give it five stars and anticipate being able to use this a long time. Comes with replacement filters too!Update 1/25/22: I just used this to make cold foam!! As if I couldn’t love this enough. 6-7 quick pumps and you have perfectly formed microform.

Seems like a standard thin walled lower quality Glass was used.We used this twice and it worked well, gave great coffee, and was convenient to use. At first we were satisfied with it thinking perhaps it was made with a Pyrex type of strong glass, of something of equal or greater strength. And, it could be considered that for the price, this may be a good deal if you are very careful of it in use and in cleaning.However, and at the third use we noticed the spout was already cracked. After one week it was broken off and was not safe to use, with sharp edges at the spout. Thus, it became a hazard during the use and cleaning process.

I've been using this for a few days now and I love it! It's super cute and perfectly makes one cup of coffee. Even better, it perfectly fits under my roommate's Keurig so I don't even really have to bother with boiling the water for it and trying to figure out temperatures. It's been through the dishwasher just fine too, though I only run the glass part. I feel like the bamboo parts would just wear out faster if I put those through so I hand wash them. I takes like 30 seconds though so it's not even a big deal.Also, I've used this on lose leaf tea and pre-ground coffee as well as fresh coarsely ground coffee and they worked out really well. I had no grounds in my drink even with using the incorrect coffee so if you have some regular coffee you need to use up you can probably just do that.

6/20/24 ****2nd UPDATE****Back down to 1 star. See the latest pic of the “free” replacement the company sent. Broken upon receipt straight out of the box. Don’t buy this unless you’re ok replacing it over and over again.****UPDATED****Changed rating from 1 star to 4, simply for the pro active customer service. When Seller saw my review, they reached out and offered to replace this little cutie free of charge after several months of use. Giving it another go! Thank you, Seller****I loved this thing; used it every day, several times a day until the wooden handle broke. It didn’t break when pouring, and I’m very thankful for that. I gorilla glued it, but am looking for another lead free press that won’t break. I never put this in the dishwasher; hand washed only.

The cafetière is a perfect size to make one good-sized cup of coffee. It works well and looks stylish.

The product was ok overall. But the discovery of the lines of scratches (see red ovals indicated on the photos), near vertical, was annoying/disturbing. These scratches are visible and could potentially accelerate crack formation (during use, repeated thermal loading). The lines of scratches could arise from forcing the glass into the holder and twisting the glass into position. why would someone do this (when he/she can unscrew to loosen the holder) I do not know. Hence I sought to return the item.(12 Feb 2021: The delivery guy came to collect my items a few weeks ago, but I received no acknowledgement nor was I refunded for the return by Amazon. This is unacceptable.)

It looks nice and it good work

Not the cheapest at the time but a well made and different design that makes this a delight to use, recommended but check the capacity you are looking for.

It’s a great looking product but be aware it is a little wobbly, as the metal frame overlaps under with and the legs aren’t sized to make up for the mm difference, it’s a very small thing, but if you were anxious around hot liquids it might not be for you.
