A good start to the day.

Nice flavour

Absolutely delicious shakes, so tasty! They are thick and don’t taste like a cheaper protein drink. You really do get what you pay for, although that said, I’ve taken off one star as they are more expensive than what I think many could afford to buy on a very regular basis. The quality of the drink is delicious though, so maybe it’s better to have quality over quantity.

I bought the 12-pack hoping for an easy post-workout boost, but every shake is undrinkable. The flavor is harsh and leaves a nasty chemical aftertaste. I’m throwing the whole lot away. Do not buy :-(

This drink almost manages to cover up the ‘protein twist’ that makes it different from a proper milkshake, but not quite.It gets off to a good start, with a creamy texture that feels too rich to have been made with skimmed milk (but it is), and a fairly strong and direct vanilla flavour that tastes like drinking melted plain ice cream. There’s an indulgent feel to it, at first.Unfortunately, the aftertaste that follows is not to my taste. The inclusion of sucralose is something I wish they hadn’t done, as the ‘sugar alternative’ tastes far worse than sugar and stands out a mile, to my tastebuds at least. It leaves an odd and unpleasant residual taste that lasts and lasts, long after the initial pleasant vanilla has gone. I would rather they’d just not bothered sweetening it at all, or used a better sugar alternative like stevia maybe, because sucralose can ruin drinks and sweets, and for me this is another case where that’s happened.My other gripe is the price, currently twenty-seven quid for twelve bottles so over two quid per bottle. Protein-heavy products come with a premium, I know, but even by those standards, and for the amount of protein actually included here, that is definitely steep. The proteins are milk proteins too, raising the question of why you wouldn’t just have a nice glass of (sucralose-free) semi-skimmed milk and then balance out the fats a bit. It doesn’t quite add up I’m afraid.So after an initial “mmm that’s quite nice”, everything after that is a little bit disappointing, so it’s three stars from me.

When I get the chance, you have to be quick, everyone at home loves it.
