Super value for money monopod
Great little monopod at an amazing price! Remarkably compact and very light, yet extremely sturdy and rigid even when fully extended. At full extension, exhibits remarkably little "flex" for a tall monopod, providing the leg clamps are securely tightened. Feels very premium, the anodising (black and orange in my case) is very well finished, it is very smooth to extend, and the leg clamps feel very sturdy and strong. Extending to about 1 metre (keeping the thinnest sections closed) makes this a very strong "walking pole", though it is obviously not designed for this. Works well as a "system monopod" due to the unscrewable and removable top platform and bottom ferrule/spike. Only minor gripes are the laughably oversized case, the rather useless "belt holster" and the mild annoyance that the spike cannot be transported within the monopod itself. But overall, it's a very high quality piece of kit, at an amazing price (or it was when I purchased it on Amazon, price may have changed). Very satisfied, top marks!

small and light
Nice item for the price. I miss the walking stick handle that I had on my last monopod but they can be bought. This one fits into my backpack so I'm actually much more likely to use it for what it's supposed to be used for. It's light, but feels strong.

Nearly Perfect and a great 150-600 companion
This is a really sturdy monopod which is almost as light as the carbon fibre models. It comes it at 600g without a head which is only 100g more than some of the carbon fibre also. It has more stability than the manfrotto equivalent with more weight bearing ones. As far as I can see there is only one downside to this and that is the removable plate. It's a good hard plastic but if you are removing a 3 way head repeatedly from it, it is incredibly easy to dislodge and have - like me - an accident where you lose the nut. Just to help others out the nut is a half sized M10 3/8 nut easily found on here for a few pounds. But I lost mine down a drain alas! This is not supposed to be a design fault as the thread can be inverted inside the top shaft to allow a 3/8 connection as well as a standard tripod thread. The ergonomics are excellent. I swapped my manfrotto for this one and the handle is warmer and more friendly to the palm than the annoying hard plastic of some models. Also the legs open easily and tighten quickly.I had enough money at the time to buy a 3 legged Alan - but preferred the feel and height capabilities of this. A really excellent buy, if you can watch out when you are replacing the top plate or attaching your 3-way head.

Tried a couple. This is good.
I had looked for a monopod which I could carry on the side of my backpack and which would fit into a case with clothing. I also wanted one which would double if necessary as a walking pole. I tried another which had good reviews, but found it to be too long. This is not only very stable, but closes to a very small size. As far as longevity I have no idea, but it is a good price (so wont break the bank) and appears and feels very solid when extended. Looking for negatives to give a rounded picture. The case it comes with is about a third longer than the closed monopod, and this makes it tricky and slightly untidy to strap onto my backpack. It is difficult to shorten as a carrying string is attached to both ends. Shortening the case would definitely be a plus. Having said that, I’m not sure how often I will use the case as the monopod itself is robust and a little rain wont hurt it. All in all it seems a very solid product and I am very happy with my purchase. Can recommend.

Usefully sized, pack and forget monopod
I considered the miniscule Sirui tripod but this folds smaller in terms of overall volume. I have this in my bag at all times: a very well put together monopod which is light and small enough to be a constant occupant of my camera bag. Despite it's very small folded size, this expands to a very good height. It's industry standard screws work well with my mini tripod (lots of those on Amazon) to create a combination which while not stable enough to be left unattended while affixed to my expensive DSLR with any level of confidence in a breeze, allows for steady shots low light/long exposure whenever the opportunity arises. As a walking stick: excellent, takes my weight without falling to bits, although I wonder how long how long the little rubber bung at the end will last and where exactly I'd get a replacement. As a bonus, it's a quick to deploy deterrent against would be muggers - it'd hurt as much as a Police baton, I should imagine. At the price I paid (£22), it's an amazing bargain.
