TETHERBALL

Our son (7) came across a tetherball one day while house hunting. He really seemed to enjoy beating the cr*p out of the ball, so we bought this one and installed a pole at the corner of our back porch. It’s be amazing! Some days we have a fun, friendly game of tetherball. Other days he hammers his anger out on the ball. And every now and again Karma nails him in the face. 😆 In all honesty it’s helped with hand eye coordination and does allow our son to be more aggressive in a constructive, safe way like some boys need.

This ball seems very well made as far as I can tell so far. We put it up for our crazy Blue Heeler pup to play with and she LOVES it. She's actually a natural at tether ball. This ball seems to be very tough and should last a long time even with our dog playing with it. And, it looks great, not cheap looking at all. It's not a hard plastic like some of them. It feels and looks like genuine leather and the yellow color is awesome. Very much worth the price.

Our family is fully pleased with this product. It does toughen your hands. It brings the children out of the room to go get some fresh air and exercise. The string is fraying already from the amount of use it is getting. I am going to buy some more and donate them to some schools. It is somewhat hard, but from my memory, the tetherball we used as children was harder than this.

Quality item, well made, easy to assemble with no issues at all. So far so good. Some of the reviews suggested they had issues with assembly, I cannot see why personally.

Does the job, though a 1-piece pole is still steadier. I even put hose clamps around the joints and it is still just a little wobbly, though VERY usable. Cemented it into a tire, so I put a couple screws sticking out the sides of the buried end of the pole to help hold it in. That all works ok, and the tire doesn't budge, but the pole wiggles at the joints. Biggest disappointment is the ball sunfades FAST, and I'm not even in Arizona or New Mexico. Up by rainy Seattle. (Though in all fairness, we haven't had rain since I put it up). But it has only been up for 15 days and the top of the ball is completely colorless! Still holding air though, so that's the main importance. Just be ready for a fast color fade.

I bought it on a whim, not sure how sturdy it would be, but since my son has been asking for one, I thought I'd go ahead and buy which ever one I could get that would ship overseas (we are in the Netherlands). Firstly, I am pleased to say that it is quite sturdy and I mean it is sturdy while putting it into our cement parasol base. I had hoped it would fit and wouldn't topple over... and yes it fits perfectly and is solid. We are happy that we don't have to make a cement base in the ground, and with the parasol holder, it is easy to move around the garden. It is also easy to undo to put into the garage at night. Very pleased with this purchase. Secondly, it was very easy to set up. It took all of 1 minute to click together, and make a final pump of the ball. The boys (age 6, 8) have been outside in the snow for hours playing with it. Even their dad has learned the game, and finds it very entertaining. Now we are going to buy one for their grandparents house, so they can also play it there when we go for the holidays. The ball is harder than the one my son has at his school, and my son still prefers the softer ball... however this is been a successful purchase, and I recommend this.

This tethered ball is sturdy. The attached rope has a great length. It also durable.

Loved this! Easy set up and install! Was upset re package condition it was really beaten up first package was missing pieces could have fallen out anywhere. The second box that arrived was equally beaten up but all parts accounted for!
