Exactly as promised
It fits perfectly in the bag as long as you put it in facing the proper direction. It's actually the best scope case out of my whole collection. Telescope does everything as promised. Takes a bit of the fun and the actual astronomy out of stargazing, but for imaging, it's the best option out there for smart scopes. I have the original evscope1 and have used the odyssey and ev2 with no complaints. And in response to the other guy, they were very clear on the website that solar filters were on backorder due to the eclipse that had everyone ordering telescopes and they hadn't made a custom filter yet because most of us can just make one. They have superb customer service, my only complaint is that the closest authorized repair shop to me is in Ohio, and I live in Baja California Norte. Opposite coast in a different country. The shipping cost alone has me considering just buying the ev2. But don't listen to the other guy, he couldn't figure out the bag is specially formed to fit the scope in one position only, so it would be restrained and fully padded. And telescopic tubing on the legs, well of course it comes out if you don't lock it. It's not defective, it's not that heavy at all considering the battery. His buyers remorse has nothing to do with product quality.

Don’t be lulled by this
These guys have their marketing top notch. Should have known this was too good a deal, too good to be true. They don’t even tell you the solar filter is delivered separately. (I spent like 5 mins going through both boxes only to be confused more.) The dang thing is heavy as hell and difficult to place in the provided bag and what’s the number 1 thing when purchasing a scope that comes with a bag? Well, to be able to put it in and carry with ease I had to like wedge it inside, lined it up as one of the pictures show and could BARELY zip the dang bag UP. Im afraid the zipper may break off sooner or later. unistellar, UNACCEPTABLE. Also it arrived extremely cold and there’s no caution or warning in the guide for the beginner. I’m guessing the fragility of this increased 10x fold. As I was taking the tripod out, one of the legs CAME RIGHT OFF!! AND A TRIPOD LEG WESFE HOLDER BROKE I WASTER A WHOLE GOOD NIGHT WITH NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO SEE ONE OBJECT and there was NOT A SINGLE CLOUD IN THE SKY ( which is odd right, folks?) UNISTELLAR MORE LIKE LETMESELLYA A very fragile scope when it arrives. Btw I purchased from their main retail site I wish more care is given to packages….. 1 star
