Perfect for practicing. Beware though this is raw metal with no oil/preservatives on it. So if you are in a humid environment it will rust fast so use it or treat it.

Harder due to the size
I ordered this because I would love to learn how to do some light weight welding, nothing too intense but enough that I can bring it to a pro or cover it up if I am repairing something that has broken.I came across this thinking this would be a good way to learn and test my abilities. I never formally learned how to weld and it shows!!! This was a good effort but because of the size my wire welder could not get into the spaces needed to weld the corners. Again the product is made of thick enough steel that someone who is better than me could possibly learn how to do this better. I think it is a good teaching tool but not as a self learning tool, especially if you do not have the fundamentals. more on my than the productI hope this helps you in making your decision easier!!!!!
