Solid Choice—Literally!
I've been experimenting with different bar shampoos and conditioners to make air travel easier. I picked up a sampler set to test the size of the bars and give myself a variety of options. Since it's summer where I live, I decided to try the rice water protein first, and the results were fantastic! I have wavy, slightly frizzy hair, and this bar lathered more than others I've tried, applying smoothly and easily. It felt great during the wash, and I didn't miss using liquid shampoo at all. The scent was perfect—light and not overpowering. The conditioner worked just as well, leaving my hair feeling soft without any greasy residue. Overall, this is definitely one of my top picks and something I'll definitely use again!

Working well so far to counter hair thinning
I am really enjoying the rice protein shampoo and conditioner so far. I am seeing way less hair after I shower which is the main reason I wanted to try these. I'm perimenopausal and my hair is thinning. Not cool. I tried a different brand first that promised to help with hair thinning and it did not work. These bars are doing a pretty good job. I also tried the Castor Oil shampoo and Coconut Oil conditioner today because it seemed like the rice protein stuff was making my head itch a bit. These two are nice as well and my hair feels clean and soft. The only thing I noticed that I don't like is my hair can look and feel very flat like there's no life to it or it's weighed down. I don't know where that comes from because these bars don't make my hair feel heavy.

Great for travel
Bought these for international travel so I could reduce my toiletries and not deal with as many liquids or any spilling. They worked as advertised, smelled great, but with all solid conditioners, I have an issue with getting a “lather” or feeling like any of the product is actually getting into my hair. Shampoo lathered and cleansed great. I just haven’t found a conditioner that works well quickly. My hair texture is wavy/curly and medium density for reference.

Good product, but not for long hair
I have mixed feelings about these. First, I’ll say that I have long hair. In order to lather my hair well, it was a lot of effort. The product itself was not disappointing. My hair felt great after use. The shampoo is easier to use than the conditioner. I think, because I have long hair, that it was difficult to use. For someone with shorter hair, this would be great! The shampoo sample bar got me about 4-5 washes. The conditioner sample bar only got me almost 2 uses. It wasn’t quite enough for the second use and I had to supplement with additional conditioner from a bottle.Over all, the product was 4.5 out of 5 stars. The durability was very disappointing at only 1 out of 5 stars, in my opinion… but I’m sure that’s because I have fairly long hair (about mid/lower back length).I would recommend this to anyone with shorter hair. To anyone with longer hair, I’m not sure you’d get enough use for your dollar.

Try it!
Was unsure about a bar hair product. Us used the castor oil set first. At first when it dried I thought oh mommy hair is limp. But when I looked in the mirror it actually had a lot of body without feeling dry at all. The ingredients are known to be good for hair and scalp. Also, I thought boy these are tiny pieces, but I can easily get several washes in with each set. I think they will be perfect for travel too. Impressed with his product actually

Worth the money!
I took these samplers on my cruise. They were easy to use, saved a lot of space in the suitcase compared to bottles, and one sample (shampoo and conditioner) lasted for an entire week for one person. My hair smelled and felt great. I'm absolutely ordering regular sized bars for my shower at home!

Set is nice, but price is too high
TLDR: It's a good set to purchase if you are trying to decide between the formulas or you're looking for an easy set to travel with.Important information about my hair: I'm 5'1" with hip length hair that I color using henna. I wash my hair every 7-10 days.I purchased this set partly to try out the formulas, but mostly as an alternative to liquid shampoo/conditioner when traveling. My set did not come with the Rice Water Protein Shampoo, instead it came with two of the RWP Conditioners. For using the product, I rubbed the shampoo directly on my scalp and the conditioner I rubbed along the lengths of my hair. With the Castor Oil Shampoo, I was able to get about 6 washes from the small trial size. For the Coconut Oil conditioner and the Rice Water Protein conditioner, I was able to get about 2-3 from each bar. Note I only use the Shampoo on my scalp and I use the Conditioner only on the lengths of my hip length hair. If you have shorter hair, you should get more uses out of the conditioner.Like others mentioned, when it gets down to the smaller pieces, it's extremely difficult to use. I have since ordered the full side RWP set with the bags from Kitsch. The bags help tremendously with being able to use the product. I think cutting the feet off some cheap sheer tights would do the trick without having to purchase the bags ($5 a pop, but I ordered a set that came with them). For the price of this set, I would only recommend buying it if you're really trying to decide between the two formulas or you really want a travel set to reduce your liquids bag when traveling and don't really care about the brand. Ethique also has a good set that comes with a lotion and bodywash bar. Both seemed fine, though I think I do prefer the Kitsch product, but only marginally. The full sized ones aren't as pricey. I purchased a set with the full sized bars, a bag for each, and the exfoliator brush for around $28.I did ultimately purchase the full size RWP formula, not because I think it is any better than any other shampoo/conditioner product, I just liked the form factor. I felt it was easier to distribute on my scalp and along the lengths of my hair without a bunch of wasted product (especially with the bags to make it easier to hold). I would not buy this if you're thinking it's going to be so much better than other products. It's average. My hair doesn't feel greasy until around day 6, so I'm getting a decent time frame out of the shampoo. The conditioner is fine, but nothing to write home about. It makes my hair feel nice, but it's not a miracle product.

Love that hair
I really like this bar shampoo not only does it save me money but I like the way it fills on my hair and I’m glad I got the trial size to see what works good for my hair and that way I can focus on now what to order specifically in the future. Love the feel of it and it does wonders for my hair.
