Best Fan I Have Ever Owned plus TALLEST fan I have ever owned
The Ozeri Ultra has made my life so much more comfortable. My central A/C broke and at a cost of 5 to 6k, I cannot afford to replace it. I have been using various mid price oscillating pedestal fans trying to keep cool during this Los Angeles heat wave and they just don't do the job. They don't push the air well, are rather noisy, are too short and the flimsy design makes them wobbly.I had high hopes for the Ozeri Ultra after reading all the great reviews and it has not disappointed. Assembling it was simple and I am NOT usually very good at putting anything together. It is important to make sure the two half circle pieces that form the base snap together properly and are completely flush with the floor, otherwise your fan will wobble. This fan is amazing. It pushes the air well and cools the room even on the lowest setting. It is extremely quiet compared to other fans. I only use it on the oscillating setting and it is sturdy with not even a hint of wobbling. The best part is the remote, especially at night time. No more getting up to turn the fan on or off, higher or lower, etc. The remote works well, no problems with buttons sticking. The timer is a nice feature as well. This fan works so well that even if my central A/C worked, I would choose to use this fan instead to save energy. LOVE it. I cannot comment on durability since I have only had it for a month but if you are worried, you can purchase an extended warranty through Square Trade.12/16/2014 fan still works great!!08/18/2015 fan still keeping us cool and working great!! no issues at all.08/11/2016 still works perfectly. i see they lowered he price by $40. if i needed another one, i would buy it again.9/17/2017 - RIP Ozeri fan, it died today. I liked this fan so much that I wanted to buy another but Amazon was out of stock. I did a search for tall tower fans and found the Arctic-Pro Fan. Turns out it is EXACTLY the same as Ozeri fan except it is $41 less. Of course I bought that one!! Also bought the Square Trade 3 yr Warranty for just $5.7/10/2020 Just bought another one. I guess these things only last about 3 years but I think i got my money's worth. Bought the Asurion policy too. I sure hope they are as good as Square Trade.

Great Fan - Surprisingly Quiet
=== SEE UPDATED REVIEW BELOW ===We purchased this fan to replace our dying Honeywell tower fan. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was - it's by no means "noiseless" as the item title suggests, but there's very little motor noise, so most of what you hear is just air buffeting and blowing out. The overall volume of the fan is noticeably less than our last fan and the sound is more "white" and tends to blend in with the background. We use the fan in the bedroom at night, so having a nice even white noise is definitely appreciated.Screwing the base together and onto the fan proved to be quite simple and the instructions are not needed. However, I did notice after setting it up the fan would make a very annoying creaking sound when it would reach one side of it's oscillating path. I was afraid I was going to have to send it back, but after inspecting the base, I could see a white electric cable that connected the fan to the oscillator motor (the part the base screws onto). The length of that electric cable is not very forgiving and I guessed that it was being stretched as the fan rotated, thus making the squeaking sound. I tested my theory by rotating the fan base - forcing it past it's normal range of oscillation until I heard a clicking noise. After testing and a few more clicks, the electric cable isn't being stretched anymore and the annoying creaking sound is gone. I'm guessing I had accidentally turned it the opposite direction while installing the base. It's easy to do and doesn't require much force, so it's something to be careful of when setting up the fan.Moderna Housewares sent me an email shortly after the fan arrived to see if I needed any help and if the fan was living up to my expectations. It was a nice gesture to show the company was being proactive about my satisfaction. Overall we're very happy with the noise and air movement of this fan. It feels like it was built a lot better than our previous fan so I'm hoping it will last much longer.=== UPDATE === (original review above)After the noise mentioned above didn't go away, I tried contacting Moderna Housewares about return or warranty options. I received no response even after repeated messages through Amazon and via their website. Ozeri's website is terrible and has nothing but a generic phone number and an email address that no one ever seems to check. After continued attempts to contact the seller and the manufacturer with no response, I resorted to taking the fan apart and fixing it myself. A few things I learned that may be useful for a prospective buyer:1. Keep your warranty card! You may never be able to get the contact information any other way if you need service.2. The back of the fan is easy to remove (4 phillips screws and a firm yank to pop two small plastic tabs on the sides apart). This is helpful for cleaning out accumulated dust on the impeller.3. The white cable mentioned above is actually much longer than I thought, but kinks and rubs on the housing. A little reshaping and a quick shot of WD40 fixed it instantly.4. Do NOT buy from Moderna Housewares! I don't think they're listed as a seller anymore, but just in case.Once I fixed the squeaky cable, the fan has worked perfectly. I'm still very happy with it and glad I got this particular model.
