this is the worst REAL flavor out there. All flavors ive tried (about 8) are fantastic but this pear missed the mark. the syrup tastes sweet, but no flavor. wont buy this again.

I chose this Simply Squeeze Pear Puree syrup not so much to use in mixed drinks but for other uses in my foods. I rarely have mixed drinks.It comes sealed in a box of 3 plastic bottles. The syrup is slightly thinner than pancake syrup. I do taste the pear flavor and that’s tasty. However, be aware that the first ingredient in this puree syrup is sugar. It’s very sweet.I have used it over yogurt and I've used it in my iced tea. The good thing about this pear puree syrup is its NOT just for alcoholic drinks. It can be used in cooking, in smoothies, added to a protein drink, over yogurt or cottage cheese, over ice cream, on pancakes or waffles or in everyday drinks like iced tea.The current price of $32.99 for 3 bottles calculates to about $11 per bottle. I enjoy this pear puree syrup but I don’t know that I’d repurchase because of the amount of sugar and calories.

The pear taste is fairly light. It tastes mostly of sugar, as sugar is the number 1 ingredient.

Not enough pear flavor

I really like the concept, and I like pear as a flavor, and I like that this includes pear juice and pulp, but, unfortunately, the execution is somewhat lacking. Pear is a light, subtle flavor, and it’s overwhelmed in this product by the added sugar. I think this needs less sugar and a more concentrated pear flavor so that when it’s added to a beverage and is diluted, the pear flavor still comes through. As it is, the pear flavor doesn’t really come through, just the sweetness.

These have a decent pear taste and mix well with drinks for an added flavor. We like to make cocktails at home and sometimes just a splash or this or a good squeeze makes it a great drink. I have even squeezed a little into sparkling water to enhance and mix flavors. The bottles are big and will last for plenty of drinks but also not so big they cant be stored away in a cabinet or on the shelf. I do want to try it in some baked good as well maybe pancakes or waffles. Seems to be a universal kinda syrup.
