Good choice of brightness settings, easy to use, battery lasts quite a while I've only had to charge it after two weeks of regular use

You’d think that this little light couldn’t do much but you’d be dead wrong! It’s quite powerful and has many useful settings. I had a larger one but it weighed too much and made my phone fall off. This is very lightweight. The clip is good but not strong as needed. And there is no other way to attach it provided. That’s the downside. But I would recommend it as it is so bright, rechargeable and light.

The light is very bright, and it is good for pictures, but the warm light setting is very low. It’s not bright at all compared to the white lights. It also takes about four hours to charge and one hour to die.

Price when reviewed: £ 11.99.This light unit comes with a clip to attach to a smart phone which screws into the bottom of the light, a smart phone holder which attaches to the back of the light, a USB C charging cable, and an instruction leaflet.The ¼” thread in the light allows it to be attached to a tripod or selfie stick.It can be charged with the included cable or with a wireless charger. I tested both methods and can confirm they both work. The long press to turn the light ON/OFF and then a short press to cycle through 34 white LEDs, all 68 LEDs, and 34 warm white LEDs. The other 2 buttons +/- through 10 light levels.The light can also be used as a 2000mah power bank via its USB type A port. This was a little hit and miss and didn’t work when I plugged into my Samsung A34 first before plugging into the light. Unplugging from the phone and reinserting it before turning the light on got it working. However, a 2000mah power bank is not going to even half charge the phone but may be enough to keep you going.As a selfie light, it works well with 10 adjustable brightnesses and 3 different colour temperatures. It weighs a little under 100gms compared with 240gms for my phone with case. It’s not bright enough to light up a room but has plenty of light for selfies or vlogs.My only complaint, which I’m always complaining about, is the font size of the printed instructions. Please just put a QR code on the box so I can download a PDF instruction file. As the instructions contain safety information about staring at the lights for too long, it’s important to be able to read them.If you’re after a rechargeable selfie light, I can recommend this one.

The media could not be loaded. Great fill in light for clipping onto laptops (for example) or it comes with a grip you clip on the rear of the LED lens for attaching your mobile phone. The clip grip does screw on or off, and the phone clip, just clips on. You can have them both attached at the same time, or just one or the other.As per video, I was using my iPhone X, kept the lens low on the back of the case so it didn't interfere with the filming. I will say having the buttons at the top of the lens versus side made it a little clumsy to keep your fingers out of the shot. That said, you have one button to switch between the three kelvin tones, and two other buttons to turn up or down the brightness.It has an internal rechargeable battery, 2,000mAh, for me that's adequate, otherwise it becomes too heavy, which this item isn't.This being my first light in such a style and for filming using my phone I certainly found for filming close up items it made a big difference when inside.Overall a great addition to my kit bag for widgets & gizmos for my phone. At the time of this review, it's retailing at £17.99 on Amazon, which to me is a fair price for such an item. It's well made, and not overly complicated to use. Only observation from me, would have been nice if it was a little more brighter.5/5

I don't know why but I was quite surprised that this phone light was a lot bigger than I imagined. That said, the size means that the light it delivers will be better.I got this phone light purely for taking the odd selfie, where you haven't got decent light to take a reasonable photo; I did try it and it does make a big difference, without the brightness being too harsh. I didn't try it the other way round but I would question whether it gives enough brightness for anything that's not within a few feet of the lens. I like the varying degrees of brightness and the cool/warmth/ somewhere-inbetween adjustments. I found the clip was quite stiff and strong (I was worried that it would break my phone screen) but this also meant that it didn't slide around. I did have a bit of a struggle with positioning the light with the clip to avoid my rear lenses, once I'd got the correct position it obscured one of the touch buttons on the front. Compatibility will obviously depend on your phone model and it's not the best for mine (Google Pixel) but it's still usable.I like the 2 modes of charging, either through the USB cable or on a wireless charger. I doubt I will use the powerbank facility that the light also provides, though this may be useful in an emergency.I don't use my phone much for taking photos but if this is your main source of photographic equipment then this light will be very useful.
