Great Vacuum Pump
Did a great job completing a vacuum on my 2002 Chevy truck. Hardly used any oil and ran for 3 hrs straight. Used the seal tape included and got a tight seal . Saved me a lot of money and now have an ice cold temp . No issues, good value for the money.

Good buy and decent price.
Nice and quiet little machine. Got the job done. Came with just enough oil. Only used once, so will see how long it will last.

Works excellent and it is quiet The extra fittings help to make it work in lots of configurations. Spectacular value.

Seems Ok...buy extra pump oil
Works as described but they barely provide enough oil to get just above the minimum requirement so be prepared to buy additional

Worked great when I replaced the AC compressor in a tractor
I used it to vacuum the AC system in a Kubota tractor when I replaced a bad compressor. Worked great it had no issues vacuuming the system for an hour strait in 100 degree weather. I had my work fan blowing on it and it got pretty hot to the touch, but that did not seem to bother it. My cheap basic Vector brand manifold set fit it just fine. Seems like a good pump and it has already paid for itself with just the one repair and now I will have it for the next time an AC goes out on something.

Inexpensive, and works.
My old vacuum pump made from a refrigerator compressor finally crapped out, after 20 years or so. This is an excellent replacement for the money. It works much faster than my old scavengened fridge compressor. I've used it 3 or 4 times, it's done a good job. Perhaps not as efficient as a 2-stage, but it works just fine.

Worked intially but then failed
It seems every product has a few reviews that say things like "Junk", "Trash'', or "Don't buy" etc. I tend to disregard those if there are many many positive reviews. In my case, the former were correct. It comes with a bottle of oil which has to be added before use. On the first use, once I vacuumed down to about 280 microns, I either had user error or a leak because when I turned off the pump, my micron gauge went crazy so I thought I had a leak I tightened the connections and tried again--same result. By the third time, it was dark outside so I was working by the light of my phone flashlight. I couldn't even get a vacuum to register on my micron gauge and in the light of the flashlight, there was smoke coming out of the filter cap when the pump was running that i had not noticed in bright sunlight. I double checked the oil level and it was fine. Eventually I realized the the pump had failed and purchased another from Harbor Freight Tools that weighs about 50% more than the one from Amazon. It performed phenomenally and I was able to vacuum my system down to 170 microns with 2 sessions. I returned the failed pump to Amazon and saw that other users had had the same experience as I.

Good product for price point!
Does what it’s supposed to! No issues with the pump, perfect for the occasional user or weekend warrior. Recommend for small a/c systems such as vehicles.
