Jimmy White's Cueball 2 (Dreamcast)

THIS GAME IS NOT VGA COMPATABLEThis game has definately been rushed ,this game with it's awful flawed gameplay and rubbish camera angles makes this a joke even on the dreamcast ,the graphics for this game is the only best bit on this game as they look really good especially when using the rgb scart ,you start off in the hall of fame that has record books all around you and the hallway also has blaring classical music then you have a choice of 2 rooms to enter ,the snooker room has classical music blaring out when you open the doors and the snooker on this game is extremely difficult to play and trying to get the line on the ball just where you want it is a nuisance ,it's also very difficult to get a break of even 2 ,the pool room as soon as you enter it has some very irritating music coming from the jukebox ,the pool game itself is slightly easier to play when you're against the first 3 computer players then it goes into extreme difficulty so missing a few pockets is costly and with jimmy white playing (both pool and snooker) forget about winning if you miss one measly shot against him ,he even gets out of impossible snookers ,pots a ball when he gets out of the snooker then goes to clean up the table ,the coughing and sneezing is the same voices every time ,if you pot a ball then pot the cueball after it you'll get a voice the same as homer simpsons saying "do'h" and there is also a sinister laugh (the same laugh like something from looney tunes) which can be heard very rarely even though no one else except a pair of ghostly white gloves is in the room with you hovering about.There are extras in the pool and snooker rooms and yep they're also crap except for the draughts in the snooker room which isn't too bad to play ,the darts in the snooker room is just laughable ,they go up and down by themselves at some speed and its akward trying to get a good score on the dartboard ,the fruit machine in the pool room is just garbage and very boring after a while because you have infinite money to put in it and the old coffee table like arcade machine from the late 70s dropzone is terribly boring ,there is also a gumball machine in the pool room that rolls out 6 bubblegum balls each with a number on it (they're random numbers every time) you could use these for the lottery ,there is also an option to explore the room your in and see everything around you.Another terrible part of this game is the controls ,when playing snooker or pool there is so many buttons to remember like playing a shot and setting the power of your cue to hit the ball ,you always forget what buttons it is and nominating a coloured ball trying to remember how to do it is awkward.The cpu pool and snooker players you can play are (a new one is unlocked when you beat the player your playing against)...POOL PLAYERSOne eyed jackHugo furstMinnesota patMufdit kenCrash edSide spin kimRudi mentarriWilf n'steenArch rivalJimmy whirlwind"When playing the pool in this game you can play either uk pool ,8 ball and 9 ball"SNOOKER PLAYERSClueless colinBoring bobClint westwoodPete pocketStanley sliceAlex smartorseSteve smashMax breakJuan forsevnJimmy whiteA CHEAT FOR THIS GAME - go into the snooker room ull see the grandfather clock in the corner and a small plant to the right of it on the floor ,press the Y button to bring up a small white hand ,then press right on the directional pad and then press the A button to zoom in on the plant then turn to the left using the analog stick and ull see behind the grandfather clock ,there is a mouse hole behind the grandfather clock so now press up on the directional pad and press the A button and ull enter the mouse hole then when you're inside the mouse hole use the analog stick to look at the cheese and you'll instantly have all snooker and pool players unlocked.Overall i wouldn't recommend buying this game but if you want to waste your money then go ahead and buy it mind you it's only worth buying if you love a really good laugh.

This is another example of a game that could have been much better. Let me explain. firstly, while the game was reletively easy to pick up. It was almost impossible to master. Break building was made so difficult as the ball motion was so rediculous. The computer opponents were also tough to beat, and when you finally reach Jimmy White it seems almost impossible to beat him. For instance if you got him into a seemingly good snooker, he would not just get out of the snooker, he would also pot a ball and go on and win the frame, in my oppinion i found that a bit annoying. What the game lacks in gameplay it gains in graphics. This is a beautiful looking game and is the possibly its best aspect. the addition of a darts, draughts, and pool game are possibly reason to get this game. But on the whole i think games such as World Championship Snooker 2002, and 2003 are a better bet in this genre of game!!!!
