Very good product BUT a nightmare delivery scenario.Ordered 21st April, money taken 25th April, three promised delivery dates (two cancelled on the day - glad I don't work), final one arrived two days early) - eventually arrived 12th May but without screws - able to put together 21st May.To be fair - the product is excellent - fitted together easily and looks very good. Comfortable to sit on and plenty of space for garden pots, compost etc (not waterproof but I wouldn't expect it to be.) If you think holes in end pieces are in wrong place, just reverse them.The problem is the delivery company - If you need to get hold of them - Arrow xs (or similar name), use Live Chat as you will never get through on the phone - Live Chat takes a while but you can have email of the transcript for future reference. They promised delivery time slots by text - never happened; they promised delivery dates - didn't happen; they said it was undeliverable - it wasn't; they said it wasn't cancelled but it had been;The actual manufacturer, ScanCom, only needed two e-mails to get the lack of screws sorted and they arrived very promptly.

This seat looks good when constructed, HOWEVER, the storage bench I received was provided with defective panels.Firstly, the upper mortise and tenon joint for the front panel and the right side arm panel was well out of alignment and so the two panels could not be joined together. To fix this, using an electric drill, I had to drill out and extend the mortise hole upwards and then make a new hole in the right side arm panel to accommodate the securing bolt in the correct position. As a result there is now an unsightly unused bolt hole visible on the right side panel that I will have to plug with filler.Second, one of the bottom panel support blocks located on the rear panel was almost falling off and I had to use my own screws to fix this as the orginal screws were too short.I have given this product a 3 Star rating as it is sold as being "quick and easy" to assemble which it should have been but was not since without some DIY ability, my own electric drill, some screws, etc I would have been unable to assemble it. So, if you buy this product, be prepared!

I bought 2 of these the first out of the box required several "modifications" including 1 of the Mortise and Tenon joints was out of alignment so I had to shorten the male part so that the joint fitted together, the second fault was that the rear panel bottom "rail" was split so I had to repair it by gluing, clamping and screwing luckily it is out of sight, this was probably due to the way the unit was packaged, and damage probably occurred due to rough handling (they are not light in weight 27+ Kg).The second unit went together with no problems.The plastic feet that are attached to each corner are only stapled on and tend to scuff and fall off easily, so extra screws to secure would be good if you intend on buying this item.The storage section did not appear to be "weather proof" so I bought 2 weatherproof seat covers, does the job fine.

I now have two of these so it's fairly obvious I think they look good and provide adequate storage for our needs. They don't provide waterproof storage so be careful what you place in them. Not too difficult to assemble though the hydraulic piston clip can be a little bit fiddly just be patient. I've only had them a few weeks so at this stage I'm unable to say how well they are weathering, the Scottish climate and wooden benches don't always get on well together but so far so good. Only other word of caution is to continually check this companies pricing policy, the word erratic comes to mind, prior to purchasing the second bench the hiked up the price by almost 33%, didn't buy at that time, a week later they reduced the price by almost £50, then I purchased it. So summing up I'm happy with the bench and it's quality though time will prove me right or wrong, just keep an eye on the price.

Looks very good and is well made. BUT I don't think one person could put it together in half an hour as claimed. It took two of us the best part of an hour and the hinges were very fiddly to do. I also wouldn't trust it to be fully waterproof and I was a bit surprised to see that the bottom was slatted with gaps! An invitation to spiders! I would certainly put any cushions in waterproof bags and wouldn't leave them there over the winter.

Now this is an absolute gem of a bench! I have a small garden&was looking for something small for two medium sized bums&room to store all my plant pots&paints&car washing stuff.It took a couple of hours to assemble on my own with electric drill bits but probably an hour with two of you.I love this bench ' IT IS WONDERFUL. I had a faulty component piston so.emailed the company directly&they were on it straight away with a replacement on my door mat in 72 hours :0) thank you I will recommend to anyone but careful if you go for the bench cover deal as the bench cover is too big but you'll need something to protect the bits in storage as unless you line it,it's a bit gappy.

Not quite sure why there are some negative reviews about this. Ok it's not going to be waterproof in a downpour but anything short of a plastic box won't be. We have it in our porch as a parcels box so it's partially sheltered anyway and does a great job. It even has a pneumatic stay open lid which was a bonus. It's sturdy and looks a lot more expensive than it is. Only negatives for us were that it does take a bit of time to put together (ideally it's a two person job) and the instructions didn't make clear that you need to remove the metal clips and the c shaped brackets before attaching the pneumatic lid props. Other than that very pleased.

Great little bench once put together. It really is a 2-person job, and takes longer than the suggested 30 minutes construction time. Once put together the seat/lid kept catching on one side, so we had to fix with a small wedge to stop that. I would have given 4 stars if it weren't for that. Storage is great for all the kids outside toys. Pleased with it overall.
