My dog is a rescue - Pekinese/Terrier mix. At the onset of winter she started scratching herself a lot and I wanted to try these chews to see if it helped her dry skin. Her skin didn't have any scales or evidence of dryness but her coat was dull and without a shine. This product is amazing! I saw a difference within a week - her fur was shiny and felt very different than it was before and she only scratched a few times. I''m giving the product 5 stars because it does all it claims and more. I was shocked to see such a difference. I had to stop giving them to her because she's very fussy and didn't like the taste. I had to go through too many contortions to get her to eat them: I had to pretend to eat them myself, I had to cajole and beg her to eat etc. etc. Although I couldn't continue to give them to my dog, to be fair, they are worth the price and the product does everything it claims to do. They are literally amazing. From other reviews here I see that almost all the dogs like the taste, perhaps your dog will too. My dog hated them and acted the way she does when I have to squeeze her anal glands. Her tail unfurled and she had a morose hang-dog look when she saw me get the bag out. She viewed them as a punishment. By the way, the chews I received were soft ... I suspect one has to be careful to close the bag tightly.

I put 5 stars because it works and my dog likes them. My chocolate Lab was scratching and shedding and his skin was flaking off. He looked terrible. My Vet said oh it his diet.... BULL$#%!. My dog groomer said I can fix it with this shampoo and then I will rub him with some coconut oil. Shampoo didn't work and the coconut oil got all over my carpet where he lies down. I gave him the recommended dose...OK a few more then the recommended dose the first 4 or 5 days then gave him 4 a day. Within a week his coat seemed to be shinning up and I could tell he was getting better. 2 weeks after I started his skin stopped flaking off he was not scratching anymore and his coat was very shinny like he just got a bath. His shedding has slowed down enough where it is manageable around the house. I love this product It Works!

This stuff is great! We've almost finished the first bag, and our dog's hair and skin have really improved - her skin is not dry, and her hair is soft and glossy. She's some kind of short-hair Lab mix. I did take a star off because, while the gels are not fishy, she really doesn't like the taste - every day, we go through the same routine, where she spits out the first gel a few times, then she eats it and the next 2 (we giver her 3).

I bought these because we got a new puppy last year that has very sensitive skin. Her skin was dry and flaky, she'd lose little patches of hair, and not surprisingly, she was very itchy. She has done very well on these and looks great. The groomer and vet have both asked what we feed her because her short fur is like velvet. Since she enjoys these like a treat, we decided to be fair and give them to our other dog - even though he wasn't having any issues. Now I wouldn't stop giving it to him too because his coarse fur is now so much softer to the touch. I am very pleased with these!

This is our 3rd bag of these supplements, and I can see a noticeable difference in the amount of hair that my two dogs shed. I have a short haired beagle mix, and a long haired spaniel mix, both of which shed year round. I have seen a definite improvement in the amount of hair that I find on my clothing and bedding from the two dogs. It has not stopped altogether, but I would say at least 50% improvement. Both of their coats look shiny and they do not seem to be itching as much. Another bonus is that even my finicky eater loves these, it is one of their daily treats. I would highly recommend this product to all dog owners.

My dog thinks that these chews are treats, which is really awesome. They have definitely helped his shedding and coats appearance. Unfortunately these chews are very smelly (to me) and dry up easily if you don't seal them up properly. Overall I would purchase these again even though I'm not a big fan of their smell, but they work well for my pup so that is a win for me.

The product arrived on time like it was promised. These are a little big so I had to cut it in half because I have a smaller dog. I have a very persnickety dog so she only ate one and was done so I can't say how well they work for the skin.

These work great for my dog. Within a week of starting these he was scratching and chewing less on his coat. After a week or so no chewing at all and so much less scratching. Haven't noticed a huge reduction in shedding. But, he is a retriever/shepherd mix. So, lots of hair and I don't brush him like I should. Would def recommend these and will continue to buy. Will say that amazon recently went up on the price and was not offering prime on this item. Found online at Wal-Mart for half the price with ship to store option.
