First choice, wings could be slightly stickier for nylon or microfiber underwear.
These work very well… I would appreciate the adhesive on the wings to be slightly more robust, but they are still the best. They are full-coverage and fit perfectly in my small cell-phone/credit card purse. They are really absorbent and seem to hold together well all day or night. They stay in place and hold together even if I go for a long walk or a run. The wings seem to stick better on cotton underwear but a lot less so on nylon or nylon-spandex which I wear a lot because it’s much less gross when you get sweaty running, and a lot less friction and restriction in nylon fabrics in general. Also much easier and smoother under tight jeans or etc. but the wings stick less—so keep that in mind. They seem to control any odor rather than exacerbate it—even sweat or any urine accidentally done… One thing I liked was that they were mostly invisible even under tight clothing front and back—but scoot them forward with the wings toward the front more than the back, otherwise they may be slightly visible in back. Overall they are my first choice.

Carefree = Stayfree
I never thought I'd write a review for a pad before, but I thought it was important to let you know that "Carefree" is the same as the old "Stayfree" brand which is being phased out. If you're a Stayfree fan like me, you'll want to grab these Carefree pads. They've simply been rebranded and, according to the internet, slightly enhanced. I hope this helps someone out there!

Soft and comfortable
I’ve tried wearing the other brands and the thin ones. Unfortunately, I am on medication that makes me have two cycles a month, and the fabric on the other brands and sizes were beginning to chafe because I had to wear them so often (painful!), so I prefer these. They are nice and soft.

My go to pads
I prefer these carefree maxi pads because the top cover that comes in contact with your body is a cottony material, unlike many other brands that have a plastic-y cover that irritates my skin. Not fun. They absorb well and the adhesive is sufficiently sticky so there isn't a lot of shifting. I've tried a lot of different kinds, and these work best for me.

Bring back Stayfree! a lament on carefree
The quality of these has gone waaaay down after Stayfree became Carefree. Stayfree was the only major/cost effective pad brand that didn’t cause rashes (looking at you “Forever” major brand), and for a teen with 16-21 day periods, that was a medical necessity.After using Stayfree for 15+ years I’m disappointed in the change to Carefree. Rebrands and changes happen, but they shouldn’t be at the expense of the customer. I gave them several months before writing this review.1) the pad quality is just okay. Carefree’s pads seem to almost clump and disintegrate when wet—which is sort of the intended use. It also seems to vary by “distributor”. The ones I purchased at Walmart fell apart more easily than the two packs I got from Amazon. The outer lining for all of them turns fuzzy after a while, and the feel is more plasticky than their previous Stayfree branding, and other pad brands. They also just seem to hold less but I didn’t get much to “max capacity” because I switched them out earlier than I would with other brands because of fear of them falling apart.2) there are way fewer size/style options. This seems to be the pad industry as a whole, but most brands used to offer 4-5 length sizes, maxi/thin, and with/without wings. These days I only see 2 sizes, ultra thin, and often no wings. I had to hunt it find this maxi basic size even on Amazon. If the ultra thin quality wasn’t so unreliable (see point 1, but worse) that would be great, but it’s hard to find maxi size when it should be common.3) the glue is inconsistent. I’ve had a few pads out of this pack where the sticky side just doesn’t stick. The rest are fine. I don’t think this is a defective batch either because this is the case with other Carefree packs I’ve gotten (Amazon or otherwise). I had one case where the glue was so strong that it stuck to fabric. The pad tore in half leaving the glue and inner guts practically melted on the fabric and the rest in my hand. No there was no unusual use. I had to toss those underpants.4) the size is smaller/shorter than Stayfree or other brands’ “long” versions. They also feel more full of air than absorbent material. So..less product, same/more price.

Replaces the Old Stayfree with Wings
When I couldn’t find Stayfree with wings online or in stores, my heart melted. They were my go to and I don’t do well with anything ultra thin. I had to go to the other large brand which gives me diaper rash no matter how often I change. Then the heavens opened and dropped off these Carefree, which I love! They keep dry, no leakage, and with no diaper rash! All is well in life again!
