Live in an apartment so cutting holes in the wall were not an option, ran the flat cable under a door into the room and it also fit in the small groove where the carpet met the wall. Had no issues with network speed either.

Beyond what's expected: the package included not only an excellent quality cord but also cable management extras - a Velcro strip and some wall attachments (just use your hammer to secure). Perfect length to run across two rooms and thin enough to still allow a door to fully close over it.
