I have recently taken up colouring and have started with Tim jeffs books. This book has25 pages of well drawn animals in grayscale. The pages lay flat which allows you to colour confidently using your choice of colouring pencils

This is the 3rd volume in the series of Intricate Ink Animals in Detail and let me tell you these books just get better and better! The hard bound covers and the lay flat binding is fantastic as you can colour with nothing in your way.There are another 25 incredibly drawn animals from Tim Jeffs and he always introduces us to maybe some of the lesser known animals that we may not have heard of which is great as you can look them up and do your own research on them. The paper quality is the BEST and so much better than many colouring books on the market. The whole book just oozes quality throughout. The drawings this time are lighter in the book which is fantastic for the colourist and just goes to show the care and thoughtfulness to their customers that Tim Jeff's and Pomegranate the publishers put into these books. There are so many ways these animals can be coloured and you can colour in the lines or out of the lines and just let your colours run over the page as the lines will show through. The shading is on the drawings already so it guides you where you need to colour lighter and darker. This books is extremely well thought out with the colourists in mind in every way and the instructions are simple...Just simply add colour and you will be amazed at what you can achieve. I have attached some of my colouring to show you what you can do with these pictures, you can colour realistic or any colour you choose.. Buy this book you will not be disappointed at all!!

All I can say is a big wow. As usual outstanding quality and of course the art work is stunning as always. I own about 6 of his books and love everyone of them

Amazing animals ranging from birds to fish, cougars to chameleons! All on single sided paper with black backgrounds. The paper is good quality, I use pencils so am not sure how it would fare with pens and markers though. Because of the way these pictures are drawn and the shading in them, it allows you to really create a stunning picture without having to be an artist yourself. I love Tim Jeffs books and this is another fantastic addition to his collection. The drawings alone are a work of art and being able to colour them with our own twist and creativity is so enjoyable. Highly recommended for any avid colourist or even beginner. Not as intimidating as they may seem, so easy to do. Just go for it and have fun!

At last!For Tim Jeffs' afficionados another book means another glimpse of colouring relaxation heaven! Lovely realism without the work necessary for photographic perfectionism. If you enjoy colouring, or want to start, there can be no better place than the Intricate Ink volumes. If you haven't tried them I envy you the chance to see how your efforts can be co easily rewarded.

This book is full of excellent images, which when coloured look absolutely fantastic. They are very intricate (as per the book title!) and take a while to complete, but the end result is totally worth it ☺️

This latest book, just like volumes 1 & 2, is superb!Whether you are a serious experienced colourist or just starting out, you will not be disappointed with either the sheer creativeness of the illustrations or the quality of the publisher's production values.
