Great!
Out of all the cat doors on amazon, this is the best one. It installs very easy, and is very functional. I like hot you can lock it in either way, or both ways. The brown matched my wood door very nicely.

WELL MADE AND EASY TO INSTALL
A great cat door! It is easy to install and very well made. Took my cats a few days to figure out the resistance of the door magnet. Their other door swings freely. But once they adjusted to the need to give this one a bit of a push, they use it with ease. I bought this door for the larger size and it works nicely for my 14 lb. cats. The cats seem to enjoy the clear door flap and often just use it as a cat height window to the great outdoors.

It's a cat door!
Fit and works as expected. Installation was easy and seems to be well made, but keep in mind that these things are all plastic and who knowa how it holds up a year from now. One negative though, I paid $26.00 for it and a few hours after ordering it, was doing a search on my Ipad and found the same thing for $15.00 on Amazon, both Prime. WT...? The only difference is the color. I tried to cancel the order but Amazon said that the order was fulfilled. I just decided to keep it but I'm irritated about Amazon's pricing game!!

Cats need to learn how to use the cat flap - especially orange cats....
The brown colour matches the oiled teak front door nicely so it blends in better than a white one would. My 2 orange geriatric cats who were feral up till 6 months ago when I adopted them from a cat shelter for homeless cats have still not worked out how to operate it yet. They wait until I open the flap and let them in or out. They did try a couple of times with boxing the clear flap but I still needed to hold it open for them. They are orange cats so they have 2 brain cells between them. At the moment the flap is propped open with a stick so they can have access to the garden when they want. Hoping they find out how to use it before the weather turns cold.......

Poor Design & Instructions
This is the third pet door I've bought and installed. The previous two were metal doors and they were rock solid. This is my first plastic door. I chose it because the price was right and because it's brown, it will blend better on the dark wood door. Also, since Amazon seems to have so many for sale - and with good reviews - I figured the plastic ones had to be good enough. Now, I'm not so sure.I can't even get the two door pieces to stay on and together. Metal screws into plastic - go figure - I guess someone thought this was an indestructible design. I disagree. It's barely hanging on. My cat would knock this off in an hour. So, I'm headed to Lowe's today to buy some new screws - and hopefully this will salvage the door installation experience. The instructions are just wrong - in a few places: the recommended drill bit - IMO - would render this useless because the screws would definitely not fit. And, the screw selection (they included 3 sets) instructions, based on the width of my door, recommends the middle length set - which was far too short. Then, moving to the only other choice - the screws stick out very far, and are very sharp - so I would be concerned about a pet getting hurt on these. I would have had to saw the ends off if they had actually worked and held the two pieces on.Very disappointing - what a waste of my time.Update: now it's bolted on rock solid after a trip to Lowe's.

Works Well and Looks Good.
This works well, and it looks good. I'm not impressed at all with the buttons though. I don't use them, but I would rather have a piece of plastic to snap into place when I wanted to stop kitty. I understand that it can be set to allow just entry or exit or both or neither, but I don't think they would stop a determined cat.I will be designing such a plug out of wood and weatherstripping so I can block it off during the winter months. Here's my tip to get your cat to use it. When it's dinner time, let your cat smell the bowl and then walk to the cat door. When the cat approaches, let the cat smell the food once more and then put it through the cat door. My cat didn't mind the door, but wouldn't bump it with his head to open it. I did it for him at first, and then I started gently pushing him into it. It only takes a small nudge. It took about two weeks before he started going in and out by himself.Edit: I bought this in June 2018. It is now December 2020. It worked perfectly until last night during a wet freezing night. It froze, and the cat was stuck outside. This morning, I had to tap on it quite a bit before I could open the door outward, but it wouldn't open inward. I had to hold the door open so he could come in. I came here to look for instructions on setting the four tabs that control whether the cat can go in and out. Didn't find them. Don't like that. From what I heard when I was drying off from my shower, the cat tried extremely hard to get in. Maybe one of the switches was partially moved by the cat. In any event, I don't want that to happen again, and posting a link to the instructions would have been helpful. Well, I'm a guy. I'm used to tinkering with stuff without any idea what I'm doing. Maybe it'll work this time.

Good but
This is a great cat door for an indoor/outdoor cat. Nice that it’s thicker material to keep weather out and it magnets shut. But for our purpose of putting it in our basement door, it seems like a little much. A flap would have been enough for us, honestly. It’s a little harder for a cat to push through, though it’s doable. Also, my extra large cat fits through but it’s not as big as I expected. Could be a little larger.

These work great!
Love these pet doors. They match our doors almost perfect. And now we can sleep with the door closed and the cats can let them selves in and out when they want. We have one on the basement door as well so the litter boxes are more enclosed. And we also took and installed these doors (white color) to the front of their litter boxes (30gallon totes). We have 2 litter boxes for 4 cats. They really help to contain the litter box smell. The cats were easy to train to use them with treats. Worth the money!
