Overall great product; please read if other reviews have you hesitant
I wanted to give a fair & full review, as I think some of the other reviews are a bit critical. Some other customers don’t seem to understand the nuance skills of putting together furniture & seem to have struggled.I specifically got this style chair for twofold:- My dog didn’t like our current set-up, as we couldn’t sit together. I wanted something wide enough that could accommodate us both. (He’s 30lbs [16.5kg] so a fair medium-small size). The confirmed measured 27 inch seat is plenty for me & my pup.- I had to downsize my living space, but still get the occasional visit from my younger siblings. This was a great compromise for space & versatility so they can still visit and be comfortable. And no more hassle of an air mattress or old military cot.First & foremost, this chair comes in one box weighing about 70lbs. Once all together, the weight is a bit more distributed & fairly solid for a mostly-hollow metal frame design. It slides easy on carpet, and the plastic legs & casters should be safe on most floor types. To better understand the design, once fully assembled, this chair is 2 semi-connecting pieces—the assembled chair & the pullout leg rest.- The main chair assembly comes in 3 pieces with the chair base packaged as one manufactured piece— it has a ratcheting hinge holding the seat & back rest together.- The arms come as 2 metal frames (L & R) with covers. The frame hinges are “locked out” by bolts, then the covers are pulled over the frame, and 3 bolts hold each arm to the chair base. The leg rest pull-out comes pre assembled, just needing the cushion placed on the hook and loop patches. It mostly floats free under the chair. Pull-out movement is guided by wheel casters on the side that are stopped in place by metal post guides on the chair arms (instructions say plastic tube sleeves, but metal is provided) This is not a solid modular piece of furniture filled with foam, as some buyers may have believed; as in, this is not a set of assembled frame cushions. Rather, it is a metal frame design with zipper covers & a cushioned seat/ backrest piece—there is no padding in the arms, just the cushions & seat/back rest + leg rest. It is still a solid & stable design when assembled properly with padding where necessary. When compared to older or more heavyweight furniture, it’s well worth the value in terms of price & design.Instructions are fairly clear, but take your time to ensure you have the correct pieces in the correct orientation; esp the arm rest covers. The easiest method is to follow & match the bolt holes in the arm covers with the frame before slipping them over the arm frame. When assembling, tighten each bolt ≈50-75% so you can adjust and line up the pieces properly. Tightening each bolt as you go will cause misalignment—you’ll want some play to get them positioned correctly before torquing down. This is not a defect, other buyers just did not understand that principle of assembly when stating there was misalignment.Once assembled, the chair is surprisingly compact. It sits wide, large enough for most people. But its depth does not take up a large space. Perfectly fits me & my pup. I saw many people who did not like the cup holder size. To be fair, it is on the smaller size and will fit a standard generic bottle of water, but not a plastic bottle of soda like Coke, Pepsi, or Fanta. A simple work-around is by not using the provided plastic cup holder mold, as the pocket for the cup holder is stitched into the armrest & works just fine without it and supports larger cups/bottles. This may affect clean up for some spills, but is an overall small way to compensate & make due. Without trying it myself, a larger cup holder mold may fit just as well if you can find a more adequate size to try & test out.Overall, I’m actually super happy with this purchase. I was hesitant at first due to the reviews. But found them to by highly critical & inaccurate. The concerns in the reviews turned out to mostly be either1.) inexperience assembling this type of furniture & unaware of some nuanced common sense skill required. Such as not tighten bolts until all are aligned.2.) they had higher expectations on its build as a solid modular piece, when it’s actually a metal frame design (and well designed for most people)3.) Small issues such as the cup holders that can be worked around with finding a more suitable replacement in the day of 3D printing & Amazon, or—are over expectations of value furniture that are otherwise a nonissue to its total functionally & product description.

Super low quality. Broke in multiple spots within six months
Bought this six months ago. First one of the legs that supports the folding out broke right away. but I was able to fix that with some extra lumber and some screws. then the actaul part you sit on broke... Badly. from just sitting on it. I tried to open it up and see if I could just fix that part too. but it was a no go. had to take it apart and throw it away. It did look cheap.. so I guess the craftmanship matched its looks. Dont waist your money on this cheap garbage.

Putting together
Well I will give you this the instructions are very clear there's videos but it's still a bear to put together there should be more of the stuff in tech if you're going to start shipping furniture in the mail it's got to be more user friendly that's all

Nice chair
Lots of complaints about how hard it was to assemble. I didn't think it was tough at all. Pretty simple and straight forward. My wife and I put it together in no time. Nice color.Wife loves it.

Frustrating assembly, no cushion, spend more, this is not worth it!
To begin, a very frustrating assembly, it took two furniture assembly pros over two hours! There is NO cushion, less than 1/4 inch cushion in seat and back, like sitting on compressed wood and metal. This is not a bargain, please spend more on a higher quality, at minimum, cushioned product. We would have returned if we'd not assembled fully before realizing how grossly uncomfortable and inexpensive in appearance this chair is. If used as a chaise, the open metal frame is widely visible and very cheap looking, Chair adjusts like a 70's beach lounger, yet lacks even that basic comfort. It will be purely decorative in our bedroom. My bargain hunter husband deeply regrets the purchase and says it will be the most expensive clothing rack he has ever purchased. Seriously, if you have any standard for comfort or function, you will regret this purchase.

Replaced an old recliner
It came 3 days sooner than expected in one box. My son put it together with no problems. It looks very nice and doesn't take up as much room, as the old chair. The chair and the ottoman are two separate pieces but you can slide the ottemen right under the chair when not in use.The only problem is it is very hard which after reading the reviews I expected. I bought a large cushion for a lounge chair that just fits. That helps a lot. I think it will work fine for me. The seat is about 26 inches wide. I would not rocomend it for a very large person. The cup holder hold a can or a very small based glass. My cats like it just fine. LOL

Don’t bother, spend more for quality!
The instructions were pretty clear but there were many steps to follow. I was surprised how much was required to put the chair together. It is not just a snap here and there and done. Also the worst part was that some of the pieces came incorrectly manufactured with three instances where holes were not fitting the screws or the piece had the holes in the wrong place. I will have to have my handy man drill new holes for a bottom piece required for stability. Also, this chair is not durable at all and will likely not very long causing me to just buy a pre built quality piece. Lesson learned!!
