Wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this. Hoping for the best I open the box and start to assemble. A short time later I'm done. Yes I expect to get better and faster with more familiarity but it's not a problem to assemble it for the first time. It fits perfectly on the back of my Chevy Traverse and seems like it will do the job as intended. Good stuff.

Setup and tear down was quick and self explanatory. Fits well on the Audi Q5. Lots of zippers to setup however you like!

We received our tent extremely quickly and went on our first adventure the following weekend. The tent is super easy to use and works great! We can't wait to use this all summer at soccer tournaments!

First thing, air it out. I don’t know if it’s the material they use, a preservative for it, or in general but it smells funky. I grew up on South Asian food where we cook fish sauce for most of our stuff and it still smelled funky for me. I think it might be the pvc cover they use for the moon roof portion, but it’s stinky.The awning and netting itself is great. I didn’t see any major issues with it, and the materials they used are nice. The poles are segmented and nicely solid, and they give you everything you need to hold it in place. It fits my 4runner perfectly. If I had to explain the material and feel, it feels like a thin rain poncho.Putting it away wasn’t annoying, but trying to pack it up small and in the same bag they give you hits that all to common snag of “How did this all fit in this small bag before?”I like this awning and it’s great. I only tried it out for a fit test, but the wife and I will be taking out the old 4runner and camping at the beach with our SUV air mattress, usb powered fans, and all of that soon. This awning will be a great part of it. Just make to air it out if you get a funky smelling version like I did.

This really is a tailgate tent. As a tent it will cover your tailgate, but not much more. It has a screened enclosure to, we hope, keep mosquitos out of your car at night, but it doesn't cover well enough to be 100%. It does have an awning the sticks out a few feet, but it looks like it will turn into a bowl if it rains. If you want something that will keep most bugs out at night and allow air circulation, then this will fill the bill. If you want more than that, look around.
