The seminal fourth album, plus 6 previously unreleased recordings! Fully restored and remastered from the original tapes, includes unheard studio and live recordings, material from the infamous Tromso 1986 show, 35th anniversary re-imaginings and evolutionary interpretations. Produced with The Residents and the cryptic corporation. Includes rare and unseen imagery plus an essay and sleevenotes by Ian Shirley and The Residents' mysterious archivist. This is the fourth in a series of deep, archival re-issues from the legendary Ssan Francisco collective. Formed in the early 1970s, The Residents have been charting a unique path through the musical landscape for over 45 years. From far-out, experimental recordings to highly conceptual, innovative multi-platform projects, the band has refused to stand still, and continues to move in several different directions at once. Produced with The Cryptic Corporation, and with full access to The Residents' extensive tape archive, this package explores and expands the classic fourth album (originally two EPs) and related 1978 material, as well as the album's evolution in the studio and on the live stage. Including long-forgotten unreleased material, live-in-the-studio tracks, rare and unreleased concert recordings and highlights from the extremely rare 'D*ck S*ab 35th Anniversary' CD-R only album. Review: It gets inside your head!. - I am old enough to remember when Duck Stab was first released, but the odd tracks I heard had no appeal to me at the time!.A few weeks ago,I heard Sinister Exaggerator, and gave it a try as I liked it so much!.What a difference 40 years makes!.It did not take long to get inside my head!. Tracks seemed to make to make no sense at first, but soon it started to grow on me more and more,as it kind of unfolded, and in virtually every track I there was something that I found interesting!.The same goes for disc two!. I`ve listened to a lot of music for a lot of years, but it was a complete new listening experience for me!. Review: Wonderful ! - I bought the Duck Stab ep back in the day, great to hear it again and to hear the Buster and Glen material for the first time. The pREServed editions are superb...Glad I left it all these years before properly exploring The Residents early work !

Album moderne, unique et jamais égalé, préférez la version 2 cd. Même si le matériel rajouté à l'album d'origine n'est pas toujours plaisant à entendre, ça reste THE Residents.

Sounds great, and the package came early and sealed which is fantastic! Would buy from this seller again.

I own the original “Duck Stab/Buster & Glen” on vinyl from its original year of issue. To date, it’s the scariest record I’ve ever heard (murky, ominous “melodies” played on what sounds like toy instruments, odd song subjects—surreal and off-kilter—with creepy vocals). I am a fan of The Residents for decades, and this is my favorite from them. I wanted this expanded edition; completists will love it as will anyone who truly loves legitimately “alternative” music (and I can guarantee NO ONE has ever recorded ANYTHING like this one!)
