So we don't add anything to it, including Iodide. All Real Salt, regardless of crystal size, contains approximately 18-23 micro-grams (amount varies slightly because it is a natural product) of naturally occurring iodine per serving which is 1/4 teaspoon. Yes, they are!….And the perfect size for a purse or pocket, and for traveling.

Are the containers glass or plastic?

Except for the pocket size carry with you tiny individual containers, I think think the other containers are plastic. However, because I have some extra GLASS shakers with lids that I have saved, I transfer my salt into these for everyday use.
