Well made camera. Got to pay for the advanced features.
Very well made camera. Much more powerful engine. Much better focusing, equal to high end full frame. Not for snakes. The E-M10 mk iv can do a lot of what the OM-1 can do except the focusing and weather proofing. Love both cameras.

Top of the line for a hobbyist camera, but takes dedication
Fabulous professional level camera. I am still going through the learning curve. There is no Auto mode, so you have to learn all about camera settings to be able to use it. Results in very clean images. Requires an independent lens accessory. I bought the 100-400mm attachment. Makes total weight a bit heavy, around 5 lbs. More than double what I used to carry with my Sony RX10 III. But I was looking for an upgrade. And, the way to go is to mirrorless cameras. For questions, you can Google in AI mode and get very clear and detailed answers. Better than manuals.

The OM-1 Mark II is Excellent!
The first OM-1 Mark II kit that Amazon sent was used--and I specifically made sure that Amazon was the seller, thinking doing so would avoid problems. Waited almost two weeks for it to arrive. The used OM-1 Mark II kit was returned and a new one ordered and received. The OM-1 Mark II is an outstanding camera with exceptional image quality using the 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro II. Have been using a 61MP FF with GM II glass for years, shooting mostly exterior architecture. The image quality of the OM-1 Mark II's hand held high resolution is exquisite for this--and the OM camera is dramatically lighter and smaller. It's a keeper!

Own your craft. Own your vision. Own yourself.
The ergonomic is brilliant, coming from Nikon DSLR. I am not into shooting bats at midnight inside a coal mine, but if you do DxO is magical with OM's RAW high ISO files. Very compact and feels very solid. You can see reviews everywhere. Now I got the so called kit lens combo. I am not sure when I will need anything else right now, of course I have a list, for a multimedia situation you are good to go. Then you can focus on what you'll need with more experience. I may have to wait for a MK4 or 5 before thinking about upgrading the body

Amazing on many levels
Micro four thirds. Where else can you get a flagship camera, amazing ibis, and weather sealing, plus pro lenses for such a reasonable price? The computational photography features are icing on the cake. I should have bought into this system sooner, but I was convinced I needed full frame. I moved up from a Sony ZV-1 to a Fuji X100V to a Sony a7C. All those cameras had 20 to 26 mp images. I knew I didn't need more megapixels. I just needed a better overall experience. This is the first camera I'm excited about using. And it's truly a rugged outdoor enthusiast's product. Yay OM System!

A dream.
This camera is simply phenomenal. As a photographer, I’m blown away by how intuitive and responsive it is, every shot feels effortless. The weather sealing is top tier; I’ve used it in rain, snow, and dusty trails without a hitch. One of the biggest surprises? I rarely need a tripod. The in-body stabilization is so good, I can shoot handheld even in low light and still get crisp, professional results. Whether you're capturing landscapes, portraits, or action, the OM-3 delivers with precision and reliability. Highly recommended for anyone serious about photography. The weight is quality and for what I value in investments, I think it's worth the price of what it is saving me on not needing a tripod. The size is so amazing as its compact compared to other models like canons I've used, and it allows me to take more lenses with me in a smaller bag. The sound is on point.
