WILD REPUBLIC Rubber Snake, Ball Python Toy, Gifts Kids, 26", Black

Catching up with a review after purchasing in 2022 and it is definitely a durable and sturdy snake as it has remained brightly colored, flexible, with no degradation from the hot sun and is realistic enough it scared a county worker coming by to chat with me hahahaha. This ball python has worked to keep birds from pooping all over my vehicles and more. It has a very good true to life size to it and yes, it does remain in a type of coil but you can drape it certain ways where it stretches out slightly bigger looking. I would rotate it between the three vehicles one day after the other, posing it on the hood, trunk lid etc. The worst perpetrators were robins looking for dew moisture or rain water standing on my vehicle roofs (I live in a desert type area). My two sedans in particular would literally be covered in paint-etching orange poo, like covered covered. The sparrows were very scared at first doing full brake stops full flight towards my vehicles (they like to nest in engine bays as well as starlings) but they eventually figured out this was not a threat. Sparrows are not stupid and are very tenacious. However, the robin issue has been fully solved. It is obvi now 2025 and I have not had a repeat of the robins though they come through here same as they always have. Robins might not be the brightest birds, but the python got through to subsequent generations that my vehicles are off limits. The next issue (2025) I had with birds where I used the python was my outdoor floodlight on the corner of the house became a contested item of prime real estate among various bird species. It has a very attractive vantage point, some shade and protection from wind and right below my gutter system (another hidey hole for building nests). I was no longer using the python since they had abandoned my vehicles for years but sparrows and another yellow breasted bird were vying for nesting rights on top of the floodlight frame. I actually had to pull horrible tinder dry messes of weeds and straw from the top and back of the floodlight right where the hot vents are at least 6 times in the course of less than 12 hours, going on a for a whole week. This required pulling out the aluminum ladder. Fun. No sooner would I pull down the start of a nest, I would turn my back to water trees or lawn and even with my presence right there the birds would already be building another one within the space of a 5 minutes and looking at me like yeah and so what. Not good. I remembered the ball python lounging in the back seat of one of my cars (makes for great fun with passenger ride-alongs) and draped it on a corner of the floodlamp so it's not blocking any vents and also not right up against the hot lens. The curve/coil of the snake worked perfectly to perch there and best is the tail is now wiggling with every breeze of wind as if alive. It worked. I was going nuts for over a week, maybe even two, pulling out the ladder to rip down various stages of nest building, country birds do not give up. I HIGHLY recommend this particular ball python if you have similar bird issues. I probably live in one of the worst case scenarios where I am the human guest in THEIR world, so its doubly hard to discourage their plotting and goals - this snake won the war for me so far, well worth the price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don't remember what i bought this for, but I'm sure it was a good snake. 10/10. Would buy again. As soon as I remember what I bought it for.

Birds always nest over two lights on either side of my front door. Put one of these snakes on the top of the shrubs which are a couple of feet lower than the lights and no more birds. Also place one on each side of my garage door where the seals are not as tight to keep rodents out. Seems to work well. As far as durability, left one of the snakes out over the winter (New England) and still looks great.

I bought this snake to discourage rodents from hanging out in my Jeep's engine compartment & it's helped keep these sly rats from doing so. I've ordered seven different snakes & change them up every night so as to throw them off! Highly recommend this realistic snake! Worth every penny!

Just a regular cut you. The size of it was smaller than i expected tho. Don’t have too much movement to it and not as realistic as i was hoping for my photo shoot. The quality is just ok. More of a kid fun toy which I’m not mad at. Just didn’t serve its purpose for me

Great the kids love the color

I didn't know what to expect with this item since there were some negative reviews, but it exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a moderately priced and good quality snake for Halloween decor, but nothing too seriously realistic, and this snake is perfect for just that description! I also got this product for the nostalgia factor since I used to have a toy snake as a little girl that I got for my birthday. It didn't look exactly like this one, but it is close enough. And I had fallen in love with it since it brings me back to when I carried the coiled toy snake around everywhere as a kid. Overall I recommend getting this product as either a gift for a kid, Halloween decoration or if you just like snakes, for an affordable price.

Pergectfor what I wanted it for

Mein Sohn hat sich diese Schlange rausgesucht da sie letzte vom Kater zerstört wurde. Er hat sie sich vor allem wegen der Länge rausgesucht. Leider mussten wir beim auspacken feststellen das die lange zwar stimmt aber die Schlange nicht gerade zu bekommen ist. Sie rollt sich immer wieder in die gleiche Position was das spielen etwas schwierig macht. Aber ansonsten ein gutes Produkt
