Great modern book
It’s nice to see a more modern take on lagers. So many of the existing books on the subject are just a spin on old German brewing traditions. Nothing wrong with tradition, but ingredients and equipment have greatly improved. There is good information in this book.

Great read for homebrewery or pros
Lagers are making a huge come back, and this book shines light on modern practices and tips for all brewers. There's also over 50 pages of recipes and covers all history and suggestions for every ingredient, even water treatment.

Very enjoyable read (not an advanced brewing book)
I started reading the Modern Lager Beer book a week ago. I am pleasantly surprised. It's a very well-researched book with many references. (Don't expect an advanced textbook like Narziss, Kunze or Back.) Minuses? A few. No references to inert (luftfrei) brewing (see Kunze, Narziss). Editing errors in recipes: eg, Weihenstephan Helles 1. is not decocted; W Original is decocted; 2. 11.8P OG and 2.75P FG doesn't get you 5.1% ABV. Recommended.

Great info and recipes
Just received my pre-ordered copy today. The format of the information provided in this book is similar to several of Gordon Strong's books(not the author in this book, but also a Brewers Association author), and for me is an effective format. There are a lot of great recipes alone that make the cost of this book a steal.

Great book. Upped my lager game considerably and taught me a thing or two.

Great deep dive into making lager. A big emphasis is put on decoction methods of brewing which is something that I am unlikely to carry out at home but otherwise this is one of the best brewing books I have read and a must have book for all enthusiasts of the hobby
