Roku Express plus | 5X More Powerful HD Streaming, Includes HDMI and Composite Cable (2017) (Renewed)

At Last, I finally have been able to get my composite DVD recorder/VHS unit properly set up with the HDMI TV. Now I can finally burn DVDs of my favorite shows off my new Roku express. This unit was easy to set up (even for a novice like me) and it works great, great picture, great sound and it works wonderfully with my voice control, volume control Roku remote control from my older Roku Stick which I was unable to properly connect with my composite DVD recorder/VHS unit. I absolutely love this New Roku Express!

Spectrum cable converted everything to digital in my home. I was not able to receive cable on my tv in the bedroom unless I rented another box and paid more fees. I tried this Roku device and it works great for bedroom tv. It is hi-def and receives the wifi signal from the Spectrum box in the living room. I just had to download the spectrum app very easy. This Roku device is saving about 25 a month so in two months it will be paid for. I recommend it to other people having a similar issue.

I had a perfectly good flatscreen, but it wasn't a "smart TV". Enter the Roku Express+. Priced right and easy to set up. I chose to attach the sensor to the TV adjacent to the remote sensor (There is a adhesive strip included). Things to keep in mind: 1) You can use this in place of a digital cable box if you have paid cable 2) You do not automatically have access to all channels. You still need to pay for Netflix, Hulu, etc. and have a login and PW. There are free channels. 3) You need a Roku account, but can set one up when you set up the player. 4) Roku works off WiFi. If you don't have WiFi, don't buy this. I have a Roku 1 that still works on another set. The 5X is more responsive. The "refurbished" item was received complete and properly packaged with all accessories. I would have never known it wasn't new.

Great product, but you should be aware if you use the AV mode there is no HD.We had an older TV from 2009 with HDMI ports but since then new HDMI devices do not work because the HDMI ports have changed in newer TVs and devices. Planned obsolesence.In any case, this device was great because now we don't have to throw away the older TV for now. It works fine through the AV (Red White and Yellow cables) ports. SOmeday I'm sure we'll get a message from Roku or Netflix that they are no longer supporting that device, but as of November 2018 it was working fine.It probably says somewhere in the product details but you should be clear if you use the AV option, it comes in in standard definition.Still a great product since it allows us to use an older TV that otherwise would have to be replaced if we want to use Netfix or Amazon, etc.,

This thing is an absolute dream. For the life of me. I can't see why you would even need any of the more expensive ones (unless you have a 4k tv that is) I am absolutely floored by the picture quality this has even on an older none HD tv. I would say the picture quality in SD (standard definition) is slightly higher than DVD quality. As for as the wifi, it works great. I only have about 5 mb download speed and everything I play thus far plays flawlessly, even live TV. Apps/channels? You won't be disappointed. There are tons of apps to download even tv network channels. Apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime video, Vudu, Crackle, youtube, youtube tv, HBO, showtime, Syfy, freeform, UFC plus many many other apps and channels.

this thing is the best. my bf and i would go to hotel rooms and have to bring our laptops, and it was only one or the other able to sign in at the time (bc we were too lazy to learn each others' passwords) and this thing is great! we have the accounts that we each have (i pay for hulu, he pays for netflix, etc) on here and its SO convenient and connects to the internet easily and quickly. also its tiny and can fit just about anywhere! we have never had a problem with this device, we love it.

Works anywhere with a decent broadband/wifi setup.makes any recent tv into a smart tv, of course.. That means that 32 inch you used to use can now be 'portable'. Set it on your patio table. Can even watch your cable channels with your provider app.Spectrum app is free, Comcast app charges you like an extra set top box to use it.Setting up a BR tv for visitors? Works great.Visit folks with broadband /wifi but only basic tv? Take it with you. All your own streaming subscriptions Amazon/Netflix work fine.I have two. To supplement My 2 Tivo and 2 Minitivo. Note they do NOT work together... just another option.

Product lives up to expectations. Very easy to install. I already have a Roku smart tv in my living room so was easy to just sign in and all my apps were on the tv in my bedroom now also. Was extremely impressed with the delivery. Was given an estimated week and it arrived in two days! Was shocked to find the package in my mailbox lol would definitely recommend!

Se envío un producto reconstruido pero incluía todo lo necesario para conectarlo a la televisión y todo funciona correctamente, este lo pedí para la casa de los padres que no saben nada de tecnología y les funciona perfecto

Es excelente este aparato, literal seguí las instrucciones de 2 hojitas y lo empece a usar, la imagen es HD y es muy sencillo su uso. Como siempre excelente servicio y entrega de Amazon
