Very Nice Belt; Love the Easy Click Sizing
I purchased this belt as a replacement for a nearly identical one that I have worn daily for nearly 20 years. My old belt was finally starting to crack & peel the nice outside finish, but it was still functional & useable. The buckle on this new one is identical to my old one, and my old buckle still looks brand new after almost 20 years. The new belt is very nice looking, well-made, and soft & supple--NOT stiff as a board like some leather belts can be. If I can get a similar life from this nearly identical belt, I will be extremely happy. It was very easy to measure this belt to my desirable length; cut the excess off with a simple pair of scissors; slip the cut end of the belt into the buckle; and snap the buckle lever lock mechanism down to lock the belt to the buckle. No tool needed, but the provided small screwdriver is handy to use as a lever to pop the buckle lock lever back open if you need to cut a little more off the belt length to further fine tune your final desired belt length. To measure my desired length, I attached the buckle to the end of the full length provided belt and put the belt on and cinched it to my desired comfort point. Then I measured from the finished end of the belt back to where I actually desired that finished end to be. I then removed the belt; unlatched & removed the buckle; measured off (from the opposite square-cut end of the belt, that same over-length measurement I had taken from the finished end while wearing the belt; cut that amount off from the square-cut end; and attached the buckle to that newly cut square end. When I put the belt on again, it fit perfectly, with just the desired amount of finished belt excess past the buckle. And if you are concerned about cutting off too much the first time, just cut off a half-inch or even a full inch less than your first excess measurement. Try on your bent again after your first cut. If the excess is still too long for you, measure from the finished end of the belt back to where you would like it to actually end (say maybe another inch or so shorter or something); then take the belt & buckle off again and just trim that small additional excess off the square-cut end again. Put the buckle back on and try it for fit again. It should be perfect & right where you want it.Remember, if you are not sure the first time, it's always better to cut off a little less than you think and try it on. You can always trim a little more off a second or even a third time if necessary to finally reach your final desired length; but if you cut too much off the first time, you can't make the belt any longer again. Fortunately, the paper info that comes with the belt says they will guarantee the belt even if you cut it too short, but if you measure & cut carefully and conservatively (a little at a time if necessary, you should never run into that problem).I wear 36" waist pants, so I bought the one labeled as 30" to 44" (which the detailed description says will actually fit 28" to 44" waist). My choice fit perfectly, and I only needed to cut 6 1/2" off mine.

Expectations exceeded
This was way better than I expected it to be. I've been traveling with this belt and in and out of hotel rooms for weeks and it's been durable, retains its color and shape, and is easy and comfortable to wear and use. Great bargain!

Be careful trimming!
As others have mentioned if you cut off too much the teeth won't engage. They need to extend the slots the teeth engage further towards the tip of the belt so you can trim off what you need to.

First rate belt & First rate customer service.
This belt is made of high quality leather. It has that good feel that only quality leather has.The buckle is solid and works very well. The smooth buckle mechanism works with no effort. Just slide the belt into the buckle exactly as is comfortable, and it stays exactly there. To loosen, just lift the right side and the belt can be adjusted (maybe after a big meal) or totally opened.I bought Style 2. I thought the end was as shinny as the rest of the buckle. I perceived the dark area as a shadow in the photo. Actually, that dark area is a narrow, black area. Being unexpected, at first I didn't care for that dark area. After wearing the belt (and looking in a mirror), along with being so comfortable, I have come to like that dark area. Actually, it enhances the buckle. That was my mistake as I should have reviewed the photo with more care. Today, I would still buy this buckle.I contacted the seller with a question and they responded in a timely manner with a reasonable answer. This seller's customer service is great!

These belts are awesome!
I really like these belts! They are easy to lock but even more easy to unlock! I wear my belt tight and it has never slipped on me (I don't wear it for work but I do wear cargo shorts with plenty of stuff in my pockets)! The belt before this one was one of those military/Cub Scout canvas slip belts and I couldn't find a narrow one so I bought the standard 1.5" and it holds but the buckle is really hard to undo so I bought one of these! If you have a waist size that is close to the maximum size of the belt order the next size up because I ordered the 44" size and I have a 42" waist and I only get a couple of clicks before I'm at my size, and you can always cut them shorter!
