Bamboo Floor Mat 24'' x 72'' by Bamboo

This is actually pretty well made. No splinters, seems solid, and with a non-slip bottom. It's the exact width of a yoga mat, and a few inches longer on the ends. So I've found I can leave my yoga mat on the floor, roll this out on top of it, and I get both a cushy bamboo runner, as well as street-shoe protection for my mat, which I tend to leave unrolled, ready for use. One thing I'd advise is to seal it, because the bamboo is not coated with anything. I picked up a bottle of Method liquid "wood for good" furniture polish, and gave it a liberal application. The bamboo drank it right up. It was like seasoning a cutting board. Now it will resist dirt better. BTW, it rolls up nicely and compactly.

As I said above, "I wish I would of bought this years ago". I paid so much money on kitchen rugs that looked wonderful, but, I dropped apple juice, wine, and spaghetti sauce on so many of them (if you a new mother, you can understand). I ended up throwing out so many of those wonderful rugs/mats, I gave up and nothing but tiling on the floor. Then, I remembered that when I was living in Honolulu, I used to have bamboo on my lanai. Many people aren't aware that bamboo mats are both indoor and outdoor material. Also, bamboo is fireproof. I'm starting to sound like a bamboo saleslady... Anyway, I bought this mat for my kitchen and it works perfectly--It's pretty and functional at the same time. I haven't been very lucky with non-amazon vendors, but this time I got what I was expecting. It's a nice bamboo mat with a light non-slip backing. It seems well made. It's getting steady use as I placed it along a kitchen counter in front of the sink. I would buy from this vendor again. ------------------ The enclosed packing slip says: Care Instruction: Simply wipe clean the surface w/damp cloth and wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do NOT immerse in water. Due to the fact that bamboo is a natural fiber, you may notice variations in the coloring of the individual bamboo strips. This is normal. The mat is intended for indoor use only. The mat has a non slip backing and measure 72"longX24"wide. Made in China

This is great for protecting the floor by the stove, sink & dishwasher at our house. The backing promises to be non-slip but it could have a little more grip or "tackiness" -- either that or I need to learn to pick my feet up near the edges as I sometimes catch on them. All in all, I like this product. Nicely made, looks elegantly simple and so far, easy to wipe clean.

I bought this mat years ago and it looked like the image pictured that shows the entire mat. I purchased it again the other day and it is a completely different bamboo mat. The original mat purchased has a nice finish that is easy to clean and durable. The most recent mat received is nothing more than some twigs tied and glued together and is impossible to clean. It looks cheap, it is cheap, and I regret falling prey to thinking that I would receive the same item. Don't bother.

This mat is great in my kitchen in front of the sink and dishwasher as it protects the hardwood floor and is exactly the same color as the floor so it doesn't look too busy in my kitchen, which is busy enough with gaily colored Mexican tiles and lots of color. So far I have had no problem with its maintenance -- just damp clean it from time to time. I also bought a smaller one for in front of the stove to catch splatters and very satisfied.

The dimensions of the mat I received are exactly what was advertised (24" x 72"). I wanted it for a runner from my garage into my kitchen to cover the ceramic tiles and it's perfect. Even thin enough so my bifold doors in front of my washer and dryer open easily with it in place. I would recommend it for sure. The backing is great and the bamboo feels great on my bare feet, especially in the winter when the tile is so cold. Love it! I ordered two smaller ones (similar, different seller) to put in front of my sink and stove.

I wish this didn’t slide around & fold up on itself so much... I need more stable mats in our kitchen... because it is good looking & relatively easy to clean.
