When I first went to assemble my one of these, the bolts needed for the first step were missing. A pain to be sure. So I contacted the company to get my replacement bolts, jumped thru a bunch of hoops with having to call customer service, reply to an email, send photos of the issue and the box, and then about 10 days goes by and I finally get the bolts. So I go to assemble it again for the second time. And now I discover a bigger issue — I’ve got two of the left sides of the cabinet, and none of the right side. So I contact the company again. They don’t have a replacement piece for this so they send me back to Amazon. To replace an entire 50lb box of furniture when I only need a single part. So days later Amazon send me a complete replacement. I only need one piece. The replacement piece is chipped but luckily it’s on the inside and doesn’t seem to effect the assembly. So now I have to pack up the old one and haul all 50lbs of it down to my local UPS store — that was not fun. Anyway, once I finally had all the pieces it came together relatively easily in a few hours and the final product looks nice but what a pain to have to wait around for all of the missing pieces, have broken replacement parts and have to carry and ship a 50lb box when all I needed was a 5lb replacement part.

This is a very nice piece of furniture and if you keep a watch on it for awhile you'll see that the price fluctuates and it can do so wildly. I know right now it's running almost $50 less than we paid, so if you're interested and can stand to wait for a period you may do yourself a favor to wait and watch. That aside...This is a nice dresser/armoire style piece that is quite a sturdy item once put together. I was hesitant to purchase something like this having had bad experiences in the past with another companies products where even once properly assembled the piece had been so wobbly that it naturally stood lopsided. This companies (Simpli) products are nothing like that at all. I have to say that I was impressed from the first piece through the last we bought. In fact the quality of and the ease of assembly of the first one we bought is what led us to purchase their other products.This arrived packaged very well, as do all their products. We own 3 of their book cases, a deacons bench and a living room console and they too all arrived well packaged against damage in transit.The instructions are also laid out well and easy to follow and while they can easily be handled by one person, having an assistant will speed things along. One thing to note is, TAKE YOUR TIME and read through the instructions first and then methodically follow them ensuring you double check the way each piece is/should face. A few of their projects have parts that will fit either way but should really only go the assigned way. They're the parts that generally will have the holes presrilled for the shelf pegs. For some reason if you flip it around it will look correct but when you put the shelf on it will be lopsided due to how the holes are actually laid out.A big plus is the parts aren't all thrown together into one bag with you're being left to discern which is bolt A and which is screw #3. They will come in individual bags marked with a number on the bag that will correspond to a specific set of instructions. It will also come with one bag of "extra" pieces so there is no need to worry if you drop/lose something or find a bag missing a piece.One thing that helped speed things along was using a cordless impact driver/cordless drill, just be sure to set your speed/torque to a low setting. While just about all the holes are predrilled, they don't always align and trying to start some of those screws by hand will be a problem.This is a piece of furniture that you'll be happy with having and not having had to spend a thousand dollars or more to buy. Perfect for those just starting out or those whose budgets may not allow for larger expenditures. Even if they do, this is a nice piece where the look belies it's actual cost.

Like another reviewer on here, we had the same issue for the doors not being lined up. We flipped them around even which way and it just seems like they pre drilled the holes in the wrong spots. The door handles don’t completely line up.The wood and hardware feel like good quality. That’s the reason for the 3. But if you want even doors, this is not your item.

People who make this furniture do not like what they are doing, and it shows in their products. They may be good at playing violin, or, may be, growing tomatoes, but fine furniture is not their's forte.Assembly is ridiculously tedious and inconvenient, and I am positive nobody at the shop ever tried to assemble it following their own instructions.Plastic parts are cheap and falling apart - if they think I am soooo price sensitive, I would buy cheap IKEA fiberboard stuff for like $20 a piece.All in all - do not buy this product, you can find better deals elsewhere!

I would have returned it but I needed to right away replace a TV stand that had broken. Almost every piece had some damage on it but is a rustic look and it in the corner by the fire place so you can not see much of the damage. It was fairly easy to put together until you get to the doors. The hole marks were not in the correct place and it took me several tries to get them on and even. It probably would have been easier with two people so one could hold the door while the other screwed in the screws. Overall it is OK for the price I just wished it did not have so many scratches, gouges and wood defects.

I bought this to replace an old TV stand cabinet. Unpacked everything and found the molding on the top piece had one end piece that had broken off. I ended up using some wood glue to make the repair. Fingers crossed it continues to hold up. Note that the inside dimensions are smaller than the outside. It's quite heavy, looks quite nice in my bedroom with my 32" TV on top.
