Notion All in One Smart Home Monitoring System (Gen 2) Multi-Purpose: Doors, Water Leaks, Temperature, Sounding Alarms - Wireless (5 Sensors and 1 Bridge)

DO NOT Waste your valuable time on this nightmare!!! I am fairly computer savey I just spent 2:30 hours on just trying to set up bridge and a sensor. Just creating an account took another half an hour - put password in told 8 characters long accepted it. Then said incorrect password asked for new one said will send immediately still waiting 3 hours ago. Had try logging in several times then asked for a password 5 Characters long ? Why the difference only they know. Tried setting up bridge nightmare again must have spent at least another hour when I finally assessed their FAK said must be close to router no where in initial set up does specify that nor does you it tell you. Would not setup even though router was inches away but I remembered that in one of my Tries said to but clip in button to reset. Finally success but nightmare three Occurred when tried setting up sensors. I finally gave up when message said bridge is missing since 10:00pm - it was only 5:30 pm sure wonder who took it . But I can guarantee the missing bridge is going back😡

This system was so easy to setup and it’s very easy to modify the configuration. I had to move the base unit...unplugged it and put it where I wanted. The system continued to work the same with no glitches or reconfiguration. This is a very refined product and is so easy to use.Early days...I’ve only deployed two pods, one for a door on the first floor and one for the basement. My router is on the second floor. I’m getting a reported signal strength for the pods of 5 out of five, but to do this I had to move the base unit.

product works as indicated so why not 5 stars? For a product that is involved on home automation / monitoring it is missing a key setting. Notion is not functional on IFTTT and Stringify apps. If you don't care about IFTTT and Stringify the product is great and does what it promises. Easy to install, and app is good also. I was told by Stringify that Notion doesn't have Could API, reason why they can't integrate them to Stringify.Sorry of the too tech review, but if just want to monitor water leak, temp, etc go for it, product is great.

At first, I bought these with the idea that I'd leverage it's sensing ability and use some for sensing water leaks, and another to track the opening and closing of my garage. The notion sensor is probably best used to detect water leaks, but for the garage, it works, but I'd recommend just getting a sensor that will notify you when the door is open or closed, and allow you to open or close it from your phone. The notion sensor attaches to the inside of your garage door, and it will notify you that the garage is open or closed, but it does so by sensing when it's horizontal, versus when it's vertical. So it won't know when the door is partially opened if that matters to you. And of course, it was not designed to receive commands to open or close the door. I also chose not to use the notion sensor for smoke detection, since I was still required to own and operate an actual smoke detector. The Notion sensor is unable to sense smoke on its own. It notifies you when it hears the high pitch noise put out by the actual smoke detector itself. Given this, I just bought a bunch of Nest smoke alarms and went with the Cadillac instead of the Volkswagen solution.

Perfect solution for my needs, with A+ customer service. I did a lot of research and ended up buying this kit (and expansion pack and additional bridge later) for our lake home 1 hour away in Wisconsin. Since we are only there on weekends, it was important for me to monitor the temperature of the home to avoid freezing pipes, temperature of our separately heated well pump cabinet to avoid freezing, smoke/Co2 alarms, septic system alarm, a water leak issue we currently have at one doorway, and opening/closing doors to the house and detached garage for general security. This product has delivered perfectly. It's customizable, easy to set up, and easy to tweak. I didn't have to buy expensive new smoke alarms (2 Nest smoke alarms cost more than this entire system) because the Notion sensors pick up the alarm sound regardless of what the alarm is. I now have peace of mind over our home without the high cost of a monitoring service or installation of a hard wired system. I had a few user-errors during set up, and I can't begin to explain how helpful customer service had been. Julian was emailing us back and helping answer questions on weekends and evenings soon after we would send him a question. The follow up was impressive. My only issue now is our detached garage is so far away that I need a 2nd bridge, but that's understandable. You can't go wrong with this setup. We love it!!Update January 2019: We've only had our system for about 3 months and it has already saved us from a major pipe freeze problem. We keep our cabin set at 55 degrees when we are away. I have my Notion sensors set to alert me at under 52 degrees. Right after a recent visit to the cabin, we were back home and I started getting alerts from my various Notion sensors that areas were dropping to 52 degrees. I checked my Nest thermostat app and it said all was fine and it was heating to 55, but I could see the temperature was dropping and at 51. It was cold (single digits) and windy at the property, but it had been that cold recently without a problem, so I looked at the daily temperature graphs of my sensors on my Notion app and knew there was a problem (see attached photo showing the drop on the 2nd). I drove over and discovered we had a propane issue. Because of the Notion system I was aware of the problem within moments of it happening, and was able to get it fixed in a couple of hours with an evening visit from the utility company. The cabin had dropped to 48 degrees in those couple of hours and would have gone much lower that night and the next few days. The Notion system has already saved us from a potentially major problem.

I am an experienced person with smart home equipments.I could not setup notion easily.I ve tried many times so that I can find the bridge and sensors.There is a green tag which you take out so sensor wakes up.When I pull one of them,half of the tag remained inside and sensor did not work.They even did not put a tag which you can not tear.No user manual inside the box.In general I would not recommend this set.I did not find it user friendly.Update: Sensors are not working.I poured water to test it.No notifications.Do not buy this expensive trash.
