I wish it leaned less into highly-processed ingredients but it's a very satisfying munch
I got the variety pack, so bear with the long review. The gist is, it's a snack based on peanuts with a crunchy coating, with other regional ingredients added thematically based on the variety. It also is very much NOT something you'd want on a trail. Take clean energy with you on a trail. Like UNADULTERATED nuts and seeds. But, this snack IS very satisfying as a "something to sit and munch on" snack.I won't go through all the pieces but I'll summarize the standouts in each flavor I've tried. The Mediterranean has the largest variety of nuts, and olive bits. It is also my favorite. But you MUST like olives to enjoy it. This is the only variety that I might bring with me on a hike. The Mexican adds some roasted fava beans, corn, and nacho chips. The Thai variety has some cheesy sticks, peas, and a tiny bit of pineapple. In other words, there is nothing Thai about it. But it's tasty all the same. All the varieties are also seasoned very nicely. Though I will again stress: if you are interested in the Thai specifically, there is NOTHING Thai about it. It's like they made an alternative Mexican recipe, and went to a random country name generator to name it.Overall I enjoyed this snack a lot. More than I expected. Firstly, everything is flavorful, but also doesn't leave any seasoning on your hands. Each ingredient seems properly INFUSED with the flavor rather than just sprinkled with some seasoning. Very nice. Also, since it is based on peanuts, it is actually quite filling. As guilty as modern humans are of binging, I doubt the average person would go through a whole bag of this snack in one seating. I am satisfied with the price too, considering how filling it is.I only wish, as mentioned initially, that this focused on healthier, less processed ingredients. But it's just not that kind of snack. Even though it calls itself a TRAIL mix, after nomads needing to pack clean energy while roving, once you open it, it's very clearly an "I'm gonna watch some TV and get my dang satisfying crunch on" snack. And it does a good enough job at that, that I'm not even offended at it. But, just be advised. NOT a health food. Full of highly-refined oils, sugar, gums, and nothing organic.

A crunchy and sophisticated snack mix set
I really enjoyed all three flavors in this set. They weren't quite what I expected, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment. I thought they would be primarily nuts, with a few other items in the mix, but I found that nuts were a moderate portion of the mix with many other crunchy snack items making up a big portion. Each mix has a few different special items that go along with the flavor profile, and several items that are shared across the three mixes. The seasoning for each is distinct and pleasant but never overwhelming. It reminded my of an upscale chex mix or gardettos snack mix, with a flavor profile drawn from various ethnic food traditions. They were all delicious, but a bit pricey for the amount of food you get.

3.5 stars if I could
I struggled a bit in rating this. This mix comes in a foil lined resealable bag. This mix tastes good. It’s salty, crunchy and a there is just a little sweetness. I like the fried corn and peas. I’ll definitely finish the bag. So why the middling rating? Well, I didn’t find anything really Thai about this. The spices and ingredients other than pineapple aren’t really reminiscent of Thai food I have had. Speaking of the pineapple, I’ve had several handfuls now and have not had any pineapple. The bold description says “7 types of nuts and kernels…” but as far as nuts goes, it’s only peanuts. Overall, I do like this mix and I will finish the bag. That said there are issues that take away from the overall product in my opinion.

Halabi's Mediterranean Snack Mix 6.2 oz
A flavorful mix of nuts and other inclusions that are somewhat unusual. The mix is primarily coated peanuts, sesame, almonds, cashews, fried corn kernels, corn pillows and dried olives with less than 2 percent consisting of seasonings along with pomegrante and chickpeas. Note if possessing sensitivities or allergies in addition to the items noted above the mix contains wheat flour so it is not gluten-free and may contain pistachios, hazelnut, macadamia nut, coconut, milk, egg and soy. There are approximately 1 2/3 cups in the 6.2 ounce pouch. Salty and fresh tasting these things are subjective but I like the flavor of the mix. The seasoning is well-balanced and overall the result is a delicious crunchy snack. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in January 2024 the expiration date is 11 months in the future but dates will vary.

A delicious salty and crunchy snack; high in protein
I ordered the Mediterranean blend of nuts and they’re very tasty, making them a perfect afternoon crunchy snack. I don’t know why, but I need crunch in the afternoon; it perks me up.The nuts in the mix are almonds and peanuts - the ingredients list says cashews as well but there weren’t any in mine. Maybe they add one or two on average per bag so some don’t have any.Still, they have a really good flavor and I love the dried olives in them. There are a lot of corn pillows and fried corn and everything has a wheat-based coating. They come in a resealable bag which I like to preserve freshness - but they won’t last all that long anyway since I can’t stop eating them! There are 5 servings per bag and each serving has 170 calories, 12 grams of fat, 180 mg of sodium, 6 grams of protein, and 11 grams of carbs of which 3 are fiber and 2 are sugars.
