Whereas Occy's troubles tended to last for longer periods, Mick's ability to analyse situations and be more pro-active in his efforts to understand what is going wrong and how to fix it, has meant that he has been able to move on at a faster pace - examples are the use of sports psychologists and taking up the CHEK training regime.His love of the Ocean and family support (like Occy) is certainly a key part of his success. But beyond that, Fanning's determined attitude and team ethos have proved crucial in an epic journey from the pits of despair to ultimate sporting glory.

It's a book about Mick Fanning....what isn't to like . It was written a few years ago but it's a great insight into how he became who he is today. With bits from his mum in there too. If you love competitive surfing then this is a must read as Mick is one of the most iconic surfers of his generation.

Amazing book - I bought to read up about surfing, but this guy gives you a good aspect on life in general! Very enjoyable read - I don't read much but tore through this one.

Loved reading this book, a little out of date, but gives a great insight into the life of a great athlete and superb word class surfer.
