Solid world traveler, but some may not like the latch.
Took this on a European cruise & land vacation, through multiple baggage handling systems over 13 days. DURABILITY: Impressed so far: not even a scratch, surprising considering the trip, and it was packed heavy. THE LATCH: Yes, it's possible to close it and think it's latched when it's not, so you do need to verify it's really latched. I always locked it by changing the combo at least one digit to make sure the locking tab wouldn't be accidentally moved. With that said, I liked how quickly and easily I could open and close it. I do think Samsonite could do better about markings on/around the latch to make it as easy as possible to assure it's in the correct position. Also the lock wheels had good-sized numbers easy to read (white on black). Some have tiny little numbers and/or use shiny siler wheels - can be hard to read after a long sleepless flight.

Happy about the product
This carry-on luggage is in a perfect size, and it is so light in weight. The material used in making the luggage is also in top quality that guarantees the durablity. The framework and construction of the product ensure a reliable stablity when you travel. The setup of the locking system isvery simple and easy to handle.

Love this luggage piece!
I bought this to replace a piece I had that was soft sided with a zipper. After searching and reading lots of reviews I purchased this. I have used it several times and although baggage handlers treat luggage poorly it looks like new. I will never go back to zippered luggage and intend to replace all my pieces with zipper-less. The locking mechanism is secure and so easy to use. Both inner panels are solid with zippers instead of only one being solid and a strap on the other. Everything stays secure on both sides with nothing falling our when you open it. It was easy to give this five stars.

Great non zippered suitcase.
I really like the inset lock on this suitcase. Nice aluminum closer. Rolling could be a little better. Over all, especially for the price point, great suit case. I’m trying to move away from zippered bags.

Good luggage that can be difficult to lock & lacks corner protectors.
I bought both the carry-on spinner (used - like new, and it was) for $160 and the 29" new for $250 with tax. We travel internationally frequently and prefer zipperless luggage for better security. This luggage is attractive and well made and has performed ok on trips so far, however it is very difficult to close if over stuffed and it lacks corner protectors, which is a concern. The locking mechanism is a single little L-R slider tab in the middle that connects to the locking mechanisms on the left an right side. It is very easy to operate if you don't over stuff the luggage, but very difficult to lock if you do, as you need to press on both sides where the locks are while at the same time sliding the tab which can be rather difficult. We found the similiar Luggex luggage on here to be better and easier to use, since it has seperate external locks on the R and L that you can close individually, plus it has large corner protectors that is luggage lacks. Their carry-on spinner is also over $100 cheaper at this time.

Locking mechanism is very good and built
5 stars for now. I was scared at first because alot of bad reviews about the lock broken. Well I’ve received mine today, with no scratches brand new very nice quality even the zippers . And the lock mechanism is very simple to operate there is two ways to lock it. 1st push down then swipe lock button Or 2nd while its open slide the lock button. When ready to close just push down the other side to lock. If it doesn’t lock it means something is catching on the frame lock sides. Make sure its clear no clothes or anything blocking the frame, so it can lock properly. Mine locks very nice with no problem. Well hopefully i will be traveling for 1month 2weeks from now. So if this post stays like this it means the frame lock is really good. For now quality and built is very nice for me. Ps i have the freeform too. But due to size of 23inch i cant use it. So i will use this 21.5 inch And its reading 6.9lbs on my scale very nice framelock. It comes with a soft cover to use when storing the bag Perfect size for my international flight

Not bad at all.
I bought this most excellent Samsonite suitcase so that I wouldn’t have to lug around a gigantic one. In this role it serves admirably. It’s lightweight, strong for its size, has nicely divided internal compartments and has a real easy locking system. It’s easy to wheel around too, as it has 4 wheels. It’s scratch resistant and if you use packing cubes you can make it work for a week on the road. I normally use one compartment for clothes, and the other for shoes, hygiene kit, belt buckles, and such. It allows me to segment clean from dirty, too. I’m a fan. You should buy one. You’ll be happy that you did. My only gripe is that it doesn’t have airplane wings, control surfaces and two engines, which is a real advantage when you’re dealing with the clown show that is the modern airport experience. It would be nice if Samsonite introduced this as a feature in the next version. This way you can just fly out of your house instead of dealing with the circus.

muy buena maleta,
muy buen producto, tomen nota que no tiene siper usa un sistema de ganchos para cerrar muy practico pero tal vez no es para todos sobre todo porque no tiene la funcion de hacer mas espacio como en otras que te libera un poco

Loved this luggage!
I’ve been looking for a cabin luggage for sometime and the one that I initially liked is wayyy toooo expensive! Luckily, I found this and I love that it is zipperless and lightweight.
