I bought this for the office so that we could split our security video feed to 2 separate screens. So, far, it works like a charm.

This thing works extremely well for what I needed it for, splitting the output of a game console to both a TV and a capture card that didn’t have passthrough. Also, being able to manually change which EDID value it uses finally allowed me to connect my old VCR with HDMI output to my very new TV when the two refused to negotiate over HDMI for some reason.Like other reviewers said, it’s also smaller than expected and the build quality is surprisingly high. I also appreciate the fact that it came with a USB-C cable to power it, although I would’ve liked it better if it came with an HDMI cable too. Still, I was very pleasantly surprised with this product and may even buy another one.

Needed this to capture video from my older gaming console, well a Wii U. Not that old, though it will be used for much older with HDMI. It worked fantastic. When watching live there is a slight lag, but when playback occurs everything is fine. It worked using OBS software that us up to date. Sound was clear and crisp. Video is clean and clear.I went ahead and tested with Mega SG, Series s and Switch. All had good results.Is there better out there? Probably. On a budget this will get you going.

Easy to install and works great.

Based on the reviews and other feedback, I purchased four of these for cameras I wanted to duplicate. All of them require power. In addition to needing power, the power flashes occasionally, and I lose signal. I tried different outlets and power sources, and it didn't matter.

Works as described!

I've been using this mainly for presentations but also for at home when watching sports with friends. This allows you to duplicate screens perfectly. It's as simple as plug and play and it works. Solid build and design.
