Love this Vest!
I have several vests and needed one for the summer that had netting for airflow and that I could wash easily. This vest was perfect for me even though it is a lot more expensive than others that were in the $25 - $35 range. I liked the fact that it was a slightly longer length, lightweight, had the netting I needed for airflow, and had a lot of pockets the size I needed. My husband and I are volunteer docents at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, so spend a lot of time helping guests outdoors in the desert. This vest is perfect for the summer heat and makes it easy for us to carry a lot of what we need in the pockets. I also liked the hidden pockets and the RFID block on one of the pockets. It was a genius idea for them to put icons on some of the pockets so you knew what you might want to use those pockets for (e.g. cellphone). My husband was so impressed with my vest that he ordered one for himself. This is a great vest for summer travelers, too.

This is one great vest!
This is a very good buy. The vest is made of quality material, and came very well packaged. The jacket has just the right amount of pockets--not so many that you will be asking yourself what you are going to put in them, and not so few that you will have to load up your pants pockets. Most of the outside pockets have velcro fasteners rather than buttons or snaps, and there is a "hidden" inside zippered pocket. I like the small outside left breast pocket, which is perfect for an mp3 player, or sunglasses. The large bottom outside pockets are adequate for many things like a small book, maps, etc, and there are two elongated pockets on the right breast that will house sunglasses, pencils, flashlight, etc. The bottom back section has two pockets: one large and one small, which are adequate for a water bottle or a light rain jacket. It also has inside pockets for wallet, digital camera, etc. The vest hangs well and even when fully loaded is very comfortable to wear. This vest will be great in the summer months, because the entire upper back panel of the vest is mesh material, so it will breathe easily. The collar is also slightly raised to pad your neck from a camera strap, and will keep the vest from digging into your neck when full. Overall, this jacket is very functional and well thought-out; it is everything I had hoped it would be. I am very pleased with this purchase.

nice mesh back to allow air in
Lots of pockets to carry stuff both inside and outside, light weight, nice mesh back to allow air in, and slash pockets which I like to put my hands in not so much to warm them but to have someplace to put them besides my pants or shorts pockets. The pockets are big billows types on the outside which is nice to carry stuff but they also make the vest look a bit rumpled. Not wrinkled. Rumpled as in not laying nice and smooth like I like a well fitting vest to look. Picky I know. But in addition to carrying stuff I like my vests to look nice, not rumpled. That said, this is the best light weight travel vest I've found and I've owned a lot of them. Dozens over the years. I'm soon 74 so I've been buying and wearing vests for a very long time. In fact I like this Weekender Brand so much I may buy one of their other style vests. And the good news is that their other style vest (Odyssey) costs about half of what this one (the Traveler Air Vest) costs. In closing, the inside pockets in this vest do lay smooth and don't look or feel at all rumpled. So billows type floppy pockets on the outside and smooth flat pockets on the inside. Makes sense. One last thought, the vest feels a bit long to me but that is OK, not a problem. It feels more like one of my safari vests. Personally I'd like a "air travel" vest to be a bit shorter because I'm going to be mostly sitting on an airplane and don't need the extra length.

Great Photography Jacket....Fair Price for what you get quality wise.
I am a photographer but relegated to photographing from my wheelchair. I needed something to help me carry extra batteries, filters, cleaning supplies, lenses(smaller ones), gray cards and the like. This jacket has made it much easier for me to carry everything, including my phone. It's convenient to put your lens cap in, and keep spare batteries handy. It's lightweight with ventilation and so far has held up very well. I have not washed it yet, but I wear it over other clothes, so very little dirt or sweat would get on it. The pockets are velcro, so If that is difficult for you to work with, do what I do, I undo the velcro and tuck the tab into the pocket, leaving it opened for whatever I need to put in and take out. For my batteries, I leave the velcro closed since I don't need to get in and out of those pockets quickly. More pockets than you need. There are some inside pockets with zippers and velcro as well. Very easy to get to and use. There is a pocket on the back, I never use it. All in all, its a quality built jacked and I recommend it for whatever you need pockets for.

30 Years In The Travel Industry Says, "Best lightweight travel vest you will find!"
It was many years ago that I started wearing a vest on my world-wide adventures. Recently my good ol' "Banana Republic" vest, gave up the ghost from years of use. Hence, it was time for a new travel partner. Knowing all of the needed aspects required of such a vest, I researched long, carefully, and well. The Weekender Traveler Air Vest in a size large was my choice and I don't regret it a bit.The fit was a perfect men's large and rode well over a tee/collared shirt. Venting is key on any trip; be it an airplane or car seat, walking, hiking or sitting, and this vest scored a 5 with mesh its back. The pockets are not only abundant, but well thought out. For example, at 53 I need easy access to both reading and sun glasses. This vest has the pockets for these front and center. My mints, hand sanitizer, napkins, travel docs, large mobile phone, charging jack and the like all found a home and I still had pickets left over. It passed the wash and overnight quick dry test easily.I highly recommend this vest to everyone from the hard-core to weekend traveler. After 30 years in the travel industry, I believe that this the best lightweight travel vest you will find!
