Amazing! Better than LR
I had the lr3 for over 2 years and was going to upgrade to a LR4 but chose Neakasa instead, I much prefer the Neakasa and so glad I dint go for the LR4! Much cheaper, cleaner and no smells! Had mine for 8 weeks now and I am so happy with it, I have 5 cats using it (1 of them being a 10 week old kitten) and they had no issue adapting to it. My house absolutely stunk with the Lr3, even if it had just been fully cleaned, within a few uses it absolutely stunk, I don't have this problem anymore. So easy to clean, just give the side a wipe and that's it!. The plastic material is much better and the litter doesn't stick to it. The design is great, so much smaller but at the same time biggee space for the cats to use. Large capacity drawer and easy to clean with the bags provided, although I just use cheap liners from asda. You can add your cats profile and it tells you wich cat has entered the robot. So far no glitches or issues with it.

Life altering for me!
We have a cat who will refuse to use a litter tray if one of the boys has gotten to it first. This lead to a lot of issues with her urinating just outside box etc. To make things more difficult, I have become disabled since getting the cats and I’m not able to be scooping multiple times a day anymore. So after a lot of back and forth with the idea, I decided to bite the bullet and get the M1. It’s been up and running for about 3 weeks now, so I can’t talk to the longevity of it yet but as for its performance…. All three of my cats took to it within 72 hours. 2 took to it straight away and then our covid kitten, who wasn’t socialised as well and is a bit skittish took a few days of watching the others and the cleaning process. 3 weeks on they all use the M1 exclusively, despite still having access to a normal tray. My girl is no longer boycotting the litter tray (which was our biggest motivation for this purchase) and my house smells so much better for it!! Doesn’t track anymore than any other trays I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a few over the years. Open. Covered. Top entry etc. there are also guards you can get on Etsy in case you have a front of tray urinator or a particularly enthusiastic digger. Nice and quiet. You do hear the litter moving obviously but the machine itself is pretty quiet. With three cats we are changing the waste tray every 2-3 days (one of ours is on water retention medication though and drinks more and uses the tray more) but it’s such an easy task to change out, that it’s still so much easier than manual trays. I do find that it’s best to shake the waste basket and level it off once a day, just to prevent the sensors thinking it’s full, when it’s not. Unfortunately we can’t use bentonite litter, which I feel would be the best for this machine but sadly one of our cats eats clay litter due to his medical conditions. So we have tried a wood based clumping litter from Amazon and that’s working well. No smells from the tray. It does get a bit dusty and grubby around the bowl area but a wipe down with a wet wipe or a cloth and it’s great again. All in all, I love it, my cats seem to love it and it’s made life easier for us all round. And the most important thing, we no longer have to consider rehoming our beautiful girl to be an only cat, which we really didn’t want to do. I intend on getting a second M1 in the future.

Don't buy. No customer service when it failed in under a year
I thought this was a great product even though it took almost 6 months for my cats decided it was safe to use. Better design than fully enclosed units. Much harder for a cat to get trapped. Supposed to be very safe and never had any reason not to believe this. After 11 months I am getting a "motor overload" and it doesn't work at all. Emailed Neakasa for support and after a few days got a reply asking if my problem had been resolved. I said it hadn't as nobody had got back to me. Now no response at all. ALL I WANT IS A REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. It is an expensive product and should last at least a year.

Simply does what it needs to do , awesome!!
So far, so good, spent months considering one of these ( the more expensive ones) and so happy I went for this . Set up was easy, clear instructions, scan a code and watch the set up video, large card with instructions clearly step by step set out. Even simple to connect to WiFi and add app. You don’t actually need to add every cat and their weight but it’s a cool gimmick to look at. I am so happy with this, I have 7 cats and they range from 2.5 years to 8 months- all were straight to it and used it no trouble. Saves so much time, no smell and SO easy to use/ clean. Very solid sturdy box, no silly plastic pieces to snap off. Thinking if this is as good as first day seems to be, I shall buy another. It even came with a mat that stops litter trailing round house. I’m hoping this isn’t a ‘ if it sounds too good to be true… it probably is’ faddy contraption, because I am so thrilled I splashed out and got it! Highly recommend, saves time, cat litter and smells. As I say it’s only been a day … will update review should it all go pear shaped 😙

Feedback after a years use - worth buying👍👍
I’ve had three of these bought for my three cats (two bengals and a 23 year old rescue moggy) for > a year and have waited to put a review until I had more experience of them. I’ve always been skeptical of auto litter trays but saw a video of these on YouTube and decided to give it a go. I went for Neakasa because of the open design both for the cats but also I was concerned about the inside of the drum getting soiled in the alternate enclosed models (though I have no experience of those to based that on) I’ve had multiple cats for many years and had always had manual litter trays. All my cats took to the automatic litter trays straight away. I think it helps to be using the same litter and to put them in the same locations or nearby until they get used to them. I think the open design with no top helps as they were getting onto it rather than into a chamber. It also detects when a cat is present so won’t start to rotate or will stop rotating if a cat jumped in. This avoids any unexpected moves that could spook a cat and make it wary of the litter tray. Initially my cats were getting in and out of the bowl frequently without using it (curiosity I guess) but soon started using it. They were initially curious about it moving but now ignore it It has a footprint equivalent of a large manual litter trays but sits a lot higher so probably won’t fit under furniture. It’s higher for a cat to get into than a tray - this isn’t an issue for adult cats but kittens or elderly cats might benefit from putting a step in front of it. Neakasa sell one but any box would do. The area of the litter probably isn’t as big as for a large litter tray but the middle is always available as it self empties after each use. My bengals are larger than average cats and have no issues using it. I think the dimension of the bowl are very well thought out. Cats would not feel closed in and can easily jump out the front or up. The raised back gives them a sense of security from that direction so they tend to use the bowl facing outwards keeping waste away from the front. It arrived quickly in a large box with good packing to protect it and was easy to assemble and set up including the app. Setting up the app is just a matter of downloading it and pairing it with your phone to set it up on your WiFi. It’s then a matter of following its prompts to add litter and weights of cats if you have multiple cats (you can identify cats later based on weights measured by the litter tray or not bother) I have found the design / operation to be good and well thought out in its operation and cleaning. Day to day cleaning is a lot less than for a manual litter tray especially if you use the bags for the soiled litter hopper. I would estimate the hopper needs to be emptied every two to three days for one cat. The app tells you when the waste hopper is full but I would check it daily and give the accessible parts of the litter tray where the cat goes a quick wipe down to remove litter dust. You could use it without the plastic bags and just empty the waste hopper into your bin but I find the bags worth it in terms of cleanliness / convenience. When the waste hopper is full the top chamber stays upside down which means the cat can’t use it and the soiled litter is open to the air so you can smell it if you don’t empty it promptly. I haven’t noticed any smell from the litter tray at other times (other than when a cat has just used it) as it filters out the soiled litter within 5 minutes and when the litter tray is ready for use a flap covers the waste hopper stopping any odours A mat to trap litter from paws when cats leave the litter tray helps minimise the spread of litter particles or you could just hoover more frequently around the front of the tray Cleaning the litter tray isn’t difficult but takes a little longer and is harder than for a manual tray. The bowl detaches easily and you need to pour out any litter. The bowl and the waste hopper can be washed in warm soapy water (I’ve used a pressure washer as well). It is essential to make sure it’s fully dry before reassembling and adding litter or it could clump. Replacements for the silicon base of the bowl are available but I haven’t needed to replace any so can’t say how easy that is. Emptying the waste hopper before it is totally full will reduce the cleaning of the base to a quick wipe down. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the bowl stayed. After each use, the bowl rotates backwards allowing unsoiled litter to pass through a plastic grill into a hidden chamber in the bowl and clumped litter which can’t pass through the grill drops into the waste hopper. The sequencing and speed of the hopper means than faeces are coated in litter and removed with the clumped litter without marking the bowl most of the time so that the bowl just has litter dust above the litter. The exception to this is if your cat digs its hole in the litter and misses so that it hits the front lip of the bowl. This hasn’t happened much for my cats and is no worse to clean than for a manual tray. After filtering out and removing the soiled litter the bowl rotates back returning and leveling the remaining litter By emptying the litter promptly I’ve found that the system uses less cat litter than my manual trays used to I was skeptical of the need for an app. The main benefit for me is knowing the litter trays are available for the cats to use. It also notifies you of the waste hopper being full, the amount of litter left in the bowl and it weighs each cat when it uses the tray. It identifies which cat used it based on its weight and logs how often each cat uses the tray. If you had a cat with a medical issue eg kidney / urinary problems it might give you / your vet some useful info ie number of visits and duration of each visit. Yes they seem expensive but the materials are strong and unlikely to break from normal use and the design is good. I would not want to go back to manual trays so if you can afford them but are unsure I would recommend giving it a try. Watch out for sales and give yourself / your cats a treat

This is great
We have two cats, and previously had two huge, uncovered, clean litterboxes for our flat. One of our cats is extremely picky, so we had to scoop after every single poop, even if only one litterbox was used. This meant that, while we were at work, if either pooped in a litterbox, this cat would pee all over the floor 2 hours later because he was mad at his own single poop from 2 hours ago. This litterbox has changed our lives. I did a lot of research on self-cleaning litterboxes before buying this. I had a spreadsheet and am fairly confident I researched every single major brand and option on the market, so I felt confident about this one. It's safe to say I don't regret it. Both of our cats took to this day one with few issues. Our picky cat is very large (nearly 6kg) and we were concerned about the size, but he doesn't care at all and has no trouble using it. I was also concerned about the safety for our tiny, very curious cat (about 2.5kg), but this thing is brilliant. It stops the cleaning cycle the second she so much as glances at it, so she quickly loses interest and she's always safe. It has no trouble detecting her very tiny paws on the edge, not even in the box directly. This thing cleans well. It has handled diarrhea with no issues. Use a high quality, fast clumping litter (we've been using World's Best Cat Litter - cannot recommend it enough). It's not as good as I've seen others say at handling smells, so I recommend throwing in some bicarbonate into the waste collection tray to help. Addressing some issues I've seen: -Frequency of changing the collection bag: This is true. The collection tray does not hold as much as they claim. That being said, honestly cats don't want you to leave it for that long, and changing the waste collection bag once every 5ish days (for two cats, one of which pees a lot) is still way better than scooping poop by hand 3x/day. It's also a fairly painless process. -Set up: This is also true, the set up was a nightmare and to get it to work we had to not only split out our 2.4Hz and 5Hz signals, we had to change the name and password of the 2.4 so it didn't have any symbols. Annoying but ultimately a one-time bother. -Waste getting stuck to the inside of leaking through the gaps: Neither has ever happened to us, could be an issue of using low-quality litter. Also, they provide extreme high-quality, strong silicone tap as an extra preventative measure for the leaking, so definitely use them. -The cleaning cycle wastes too much litter: This is the complete opposite for us. We were shocked at how LITTLE it's been using, we've been going through way less than our manual scooping since we don't need to change it as often! I think this might also be an issue of using lower-quality litter. -App not tracking usage: We've never had this problem. We set up a camera for the first few days (I was nervous about the safety for our smaller cat), and not only did it record every single usage, it even recorded when they were just sniffing around for 10 seconds or so. The only problem I've noticed is that the weight sensor, while generally accurate, isn't perfect - it fluctuates up to 0.5kg every day. This isn't really a problem for us as our cats are about 3kg apart, so it can always tell who they are, but I'm not sure it would work that well if your cats are the same weight. But this is a feature I'm personally not too fussed about. -Not being able to look at your cat(s)'s bowel movements daily (for health monitoring) - I genuinely don't understand this one. Yes, there is a feature where you can seal the waste bag without looking at it, but just don't use that then? If you want to check on this, just open the waste tray daily and take a quick glance, you'll be able to see everything. Totally a non-issue, I promise. Overall, this is cheaper and safer than other models, and better for a cat evolutionarily than enclosed styles. We love it so far and can't recommend it enough.

Decent but need the step.
Easily assembled, sturdy and originally great at keeping smell covered. bad durability though. I don't think it is deep enough perhaps. Cats scratched through the lining. They dig and utinate which sticks to the lining and occasionally needs manually scraping. They kick litter everywhere but that could be because they need the step which is sold separately. Costs to much for what it is. In my opinion. Around £60 each time I've looked when it's available. I don't regret getting this product but due to needing another I won't be going with this company again. I'm unaware of how the app works. I never managed to set that up.

Very pleased
I waited a long time to get a robotic litter tray, there’s almost too many options and finding one that ticked all the boxes took a while. I’ve now had this around 3 weeks and am very happy with it. We have two cats, one took to it immediately and is solely using it, unfortunately our other got putrefied of it when he saw it move and hasn’t warmed to it yet but that’s not a fault of the product just a potential risk if you have nervous cats. With the one cat using it, bags seem to last just over a week and it’s very economical in litter use. It’s remained clean and smells have got locked away well. The app is easy to use and syncs whenever your on WiFi, it can tell you the time and weight of the cat on entry and how long they stayed , you can assign cats to weight however I do find it’s not incredibly accurate on weighing the cats and certainly if you have more than one cat that are anywhere close in weight it will never be able to tell them apart. You can set cleaning interval times, from a smart setting whereby it cleans x minutes after use or just cycling through every hour or whatever it maybe. It tells you on the app the litter capacity level which I find accurate, it also says waste bin level but I’ve yet to see that say anything other than “normal” despite it then being full after the next use so I would say again that’s not to be relied upon. Overall I couldn’t really say much negative about it other than the minor annoyances mentioned above. It looks smart, operates well and if you’re concerned about safety seems good as the way it spins when cleaning, even if it malfunctioned would give the cat time to leave but obviously it has safety features so it shouldn’t move when a cats inside anyway.

Why did I not do this sooner?
This is a great unit. Does everything it says it will. Also added the fence guard to keep scattering to a minimum, which it does. Makes my life easier. I put one upstairs and one downstairs and they both do the job. The app is easy to use. Advises if litter is low, needs changed, even if you have overfilled it. Easy to keep clean. Large enough for our 22 pound cat. Was lucky to purchase both units on sale. Odor has not been an issue. On a side note, closes the buffet for the dog.

Ottimo prodotto

Best litter box around
We got little kitten and scoping become crazy annoying. Before our 4 years cat was using simple toilet and we cleaned it twice a day but with second kitten we cleared like 7 times. It drived me crazy and the scent...meh. So we decided to buy one of this fancy liter robots and bought 3 to try. Meowant, Neakasa and Petkit and result Neakasa is best so far. Here are pros and cons: Pros 1) CONTROLS THE ODOUR! Disppsal section located under toilet us best ergonomic decission to lock scent in. For example Meowant have ut on top and ut start smells in 2 days. 2) SAFE. We do use it for tiny kitten and it always sees kitty correctly. Also our biggest cat is overweight and weights 6kg and toilet stands solid and never shakes and scares cat. 3) EASY TO CLEAN! Really, its super easy. And uts very important. When plastic absorbs cat urine it becomes crazy stinky and nothing could be done so hardwashing it once in couple weeks is a must. But all another brands made their toilets impossible to clean! Petkit and Meowant are nearly imposible to hardwash, but this unit us a bliss. You can detach the bowl, hardwash it and thats all. Bowl is light and even kid can do it. 4) COMPACT. It's looks huge but it actually quite compact, we couldnt place smaller Meowant un same spot because of its shape but Neakasa is round and can stand in corners without isdues. Cons: 1) Some cats will consider its cleaning sounds noisy but ours dont think so. 2) Might be tall for some cats but our cats jump in it without problems, even 4 months kitten. You can get an adjustable steps if needed
