I've been looking for a pair of lightweight hiking pants like these for years! Over the past 25 years, I've hiked and backpacked in shorts (done with that now that I'm in my late 50's), thicker traditional nylon hiking pants with no stretch that zip off to shorts, and thick leggings with pockets (including a pair of $$ Carharts). All have their limitations: nylon stretches out and sags from backpacks, leggings can't protect against mosquitos and aren't as durable, can be too hot in the desert canyons and stay wet in mountain rainstorms, but are super comfortable.Enter these pants. I was originally looking to get another pair of lightweight zip-up long shorts for mountain biking, and saw these. I realized that these pants, which can be converted to capri-style length via tabs and snaps, were more versatile than shorts, and could still be worn while mountain biking.Just tested them out on my stationary bike - they're very comfortable. They fit great with the padded bike short liner as well.I like that they have one zippered side pocket and one velcro tabbed pocket, and the hip and rear pockets are zipper close. If you've ever worried about losing keys or some other lightweight small item while hiking, the zipper pocket provides complete peace of mind. I'm also really into bird and wildlife photography, and have lost lens caps that have fallen out of side pockets when I've knelt down...not a problem with these.For reference, I'm 5'7", about 134 lbs, 29-30" waist, 37" hips, and usually wear a size 6. I decided to go up a size since I'd rather have them looser in the legs than tighter, and with the partial elastic waist, I figured they wouldn't be too big like most size 8 name brand hiking pants are. They fit PERFECTLY - no belt needed! They are also the perfect length - another pet peeve of mine are pants that are just a couple of inches TOO SHORT!The inseam length of these pants is 31".I've had such a problem finding pants that actually fit me in legs and hips and aren't gaping in the waist, are affordable, and weren't bulky looking or too thick that I'm going to order another pair. I ordered the dark grey, which I love.I also realized that they'll be good for winter snowshoeing as well.It's always a risk buying clothing, especially pants, on line, and hoping they fit. Obviously, returns on Amazon are easy, but I HATE returning items that don't fit.

These ship in what seems like an impossibly small little bag … so small that I was concerned they had sent me the wrong item.I tried them on and they fit perfectly. The material is very thin and has good elasticity without looking or feeling cheap. The pants have a zipper closure with a snap (the snap is surrounded by Velcro to reinforce it) at the top. Usually I don’t like elastic waistbands, but the elastic in the back doesn’t dig in uncomfortably. I got these for wearing at work but they look nice enough to wear any day. I can’t wait to see how breathable and comfortable they’ll be.

These are interesting in how they’re made. They are true to the image, so they have lots of pockets and flaps to zip and unzip and shorten or lengthen them. They have the material of parachute pants, so I question how warm/protective they’ll be, but I certainly get how they’ll be water resistan! They also run a bit tight; they looked like they might so I sized up to a 6 (usually I wear a 4). They JUST fit at that size, so a 4 would definitely be too small. They are form fitting even at that size, so honestly even an 8 probably would’ve been fine, but a 6 is just right I think.I haven’t had a chance to try them out on a long hike, but theyre comfortable enough when they’re on. Will see how they hold up on my hikes in Colorado next year!

I work at a football stadium, in the kitchen, and these are great! Tons of pockets (which I need), lightweight (it gets REALLY hot in there!) and comfy. If I ordered them again, I would possibly go UP a size because they're a little tight, but nothing I can't deal with. FYI, my husband says they make my butt look good... bonus points :)

The weight of the pants were good, appearance and pockets are great, however, the size run small.

Great pants when they arrived after reorder. I am now being billed for the orginal order that NeVeR ARRIVED! Very poor communication and customer service. Find another provider for your hiking pants. Avoid Moosehill.

I love these pants. They are strechy, breathable, and come in professional colors. I have never turned these into a capri, but like that there is the option to do so. The ankles of the pant legs are also adjustable providing protection and keeping cold air out!

At 73+ pants like this are still the style of choice. I rarely carry a purse. Only if I particularly need more than average. Slim wallet for license, insurance cards, and two credit cards. I don’t carry everything I have.Just the same, I prefer cargo pockets. Especially for phone. If I’m traveling they’re even better.Straight cuff, rolled and snapped to capri, vents behind the knee. Very lightweight yet enough to keep you comfortable three seasons, four if you’re in the south. Quick dry which cuts down the ick factor. Kidts with claws don’t snag as they power push off. The flex is incredible. Completely comfy. The only thing missing is SPF protection.I have three pair. Waiting for a sale to get more.Size M because I can’t stand any snug at the waist. I grew up in my brother’s hand me downs which fit lower than girls. Younger years were low riders. Until everything became high waist I was mid rise. High waisted puts me up a size. Or maybe it’s because I’m now closer to 130….Love these pants!!!

Ich habe die Wanderhose der Marke Moosehill zum Testen geordert, weil meine anderen leichten Sommer-Wanderhosen schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen sind.Ich, 165 cm groß und ~ 79 kg schwer, habe die Hose in Größe L bestellt, und sie passt perfekt. Der Tragekomfort ist hoch, die Verarbeitung wirkt solide und das Design ist zeitlos. Der Stoff ist sehr leicht und dünn, aber dennoch blickdicht. Dank des leichten Materials, der Lüftungslöcher an den Knien und der Möglichkeit, die Hosenbeine mithilfe eines Stoffbands und Druckknöpfen auf Kniehöhe hochzukrempeln und dort zu fixieren, ist die Hose ideal für den Sommer geeignet.Zudem ist die Hose elastisch und atmungsaktiv. Besonders praktisch finde ich die zahlreichen Taschen mit Reißverschlüssen, die dafür sorgen, dass man auch bei längeren Wanderungen nichts verliert. Die Reißverschlüsse funktionieren einwandfrei, und ein verstellbares Gummiband im Saum der Hosenbeine verhindert, dass die Hose über oder unter die Schuhe rutscht.Nicht zuletzt hat die Hose die erste Wäsche (30 °C, Normalwaschgang) ohne Form- oder Farbverlust überstanden.Resümee:Ich finde die Wanderhose und ihr Preis-Leistungsverhältnis klasse. Dementsprechend würde ich sie auch kaufen oder weiterempfehlen!

Eine gerade geschnittene Wanderhose für den Einsatz im Sommer. Das wird so nicht erwähnt. Das Material wirkt trotzdem wertig und macht einen soliden Eindruck. Die Hose ist mit einigen Taschen versehen, die aber von der Größe sehr schmal geschnitten sind. Die Hosenlänge ist über Beinschnüre bequem in eine Caprihose zu verwandeln. Ich habe meine übliche Hosengröße gewählt und muss feststellen, dass dies gerade so noch bequem sitzt. Lieber eine Nummer größer wählen.

Die Moosehill Trekkinghose passte ihr direkt wie angegossen. Durch einen Druckknopf mit zusätzlichem Klettverschluss wird sie oben sicher geschlossen. Die Beine kann man unten mit einem Zugband enger machen, um das Eindringen von Wasser zu verhindern.Am meisten haben es ihr aber die zahlreichen Taschen angetan, in denen sich allerhand Zeug verstauen lässt.Trotz reiner Kunstfaser ist die Hose nicht übertrieben warm und hinreichend atmungsaktiv, so dass Schwitzen kein Problem ist. Die Fasern haben auch den Vorteil, dass die Hose nach dem Waschen extrem schnell wieder trocken ist.Meine Frau trägt die Hose aktuell jedenfalls bei fast jeder Gelegenheit. Der Preis geht angesichts der Qualität und Nützlichkeit völlig in Ordnung.

Sprich, sie passt mir (natürlich in meiner Größe) als Mann ohne weiteres und meine Frau wäre nie auf die Idee gekommen, dass es sich um eine Damenhose handelt, wenn ich es nicht gesagt hätte.Nun aber zur Hose. Sie sitzt, wie oben schon geschrieben, bei mir super. Nichts kneift oder zwickt und auch die Beinlänge ist für mich genau richtig (sie geht mir bis knapp unterhalb des Knöchels). Und durch den leichten Stoff ist das Bewegen in der Hose nochmals angenehmer, als wenn es ein dicker, schwerer Stoff wäre.Heute konnte ich auch die Hose bei leichtem Regen testen. Sie hält auch hier ihr Versprechen! Luftig, und Wasserfest (zumindest waren bei dem Nieselregen heute Vormittag die Beine komplett trocken wohingegen mein normales T-Shirt recht feucht war).Fazit: Tolle unisex Hose!
