How do you choose between basic b complex and b complex #12?

I chose Thorne's B-Complex #12 because of the ratio of B vitamins in it. Each version is higher or lower in each of the different B's. #12 has more B12, for instance.

Is the capsule content in powder form?

Yes, and if u take it on an empty stomach u can taste it in the back of ur throat in about 30 mins. Gentle on tummy tho
