Aolemi Laundry Utility Sink Faucet Wall Mounted Laundry Tub Faucet 3 Inch Center with 2-Handle,NPT3/4 Threaded End,9 Inch Spout Chrome and Brass

This sand-cast bronze utility faucet is the equal of much more expensive alternatives. It is well finished and the installation went smoothly. Pipe unions are supplied so that you can sweat solder 1/2" copper supply lines to the unions without having to mount directly to the faucet casting. This keeps the soldering heat away from the sensitive valve assemblies. Speaking of the valves, they are very smooth cartridge units that, in the initial month, have have proven to seal well. A couple notes are worthy of stating before your purchase. The mounting holes are to the rear of the faucet rather than the front. This isn't necessarily a problem, particularly if the faucet will be replacing one with a similar mounting arrangement. However a number of other candidates have the mounting holes on the front of the faucet that might fit better if that is your current configuration. Also, the spacing of the mounting holes is 3" rather than the more typical 3 3/8" to 3 1/2". The upshot of these two mounting limitations required that I fabricate an adapter bracket. However, I do not view this as a fault of the product so long as the buyer knows about these specs before purchase. The product listing clearly shows the mounting holes and states that spacing is 3". The only down-side I will mention is that there is no clear way to replace the cartridge valves when they ultimately age-out. Given the ridiculously inexpensive nature of the faucet, however, you can replace the entire faucet assembly for not much more than a pair of cartridge valves would cost you. Lastly, and it probably goes without saying, you are purchasing a residential rather than commercial faucet. The spout is made of very light gauge material that won't stand up to abusive handling. Then again, I would say the same thing about every other residential utility faucet. They are built to a price. With that said, this is a great unit at a super price. I ordered the version with the 9" spout and it has proven to be an invaluable enhancement over the more standard 5-6" lengths used on virtually every other utility faucet model out there. Highly recommended.

Looks great, fit cleanly into a 75 year old concrete laundry basin like it was transported back in time. Always amazes me to see engineers cleverly hacking the time continuum to make new stuff work on old stuff. It’s the most satisfying part of upgrading something before totally replacing.

This is the best utility faucet I have ever installed. I highly recommend it. However. I do find the spout, which is several inches longer than the competition units somewhat longer than I would prefer. Otherwise it is terrific and exceedingly well made.

The spout is not polished. so it appears rusty and old. Not nice to look at but it worked so I left it on the sink.
